saddle bags are better too.just put something between the surface paint & the bag.
I stopped doing that because a year down the line I frankly donot care for minor scratches that much
I am up for the bags by Hemant Bhai, may be a collective order might bring the prices to some realistic level(4.5 k with shipping)

my bike is more than a year old and scratch less(almost, save for parking lot ones)

    ^i do not prefer tank-bags

^^shall use bungee cords with a cloth and pray for the best, my 2 day old kraizma had rear fender marks because of cords

test ride the r15 before u come to any conclusions....
            1) chain cleaner and lube can be bought. both are close to around 350 per can .... u may use diesel to clean to chain instead of a hi fi cleaner.
            2) r15 tires are pretty soft. they tend to pick up nails and pieces off the tarmac..
            3) i own a 220...i dono anything about this...
            4) did the company tell u they wont sell it to tall people ? take a test ride..all i can tell ....

maybe the others her can guide u well on ur choice..

At 5k rpm speed is around 72 km/hr.
Ya its a bit sluggish below 4k rpm but once you get past 6k rpm it a different story altogether

Do not use any types of solvents to clean the chain. These can damage the O-ring. Once that happens, you chain is just as good as an ordinary chain. Use a O-ring chain cleaner, its available at the Service Centre.

                  Answers to your questions:
                  1. Service centers charge anything from 50-120 for the lubing. Buy a can of Chain lube, & lube it yourself. A can of Motul would cost you Rs. 480, but would last about 15-18 sprays.
                  2. Yes, they are. The stock R15 tyres are made of soft compound, and are prone to punctures. The tyres are tubeless type, hence it takes more time for the air to leak in case a nail goes in. The tyres are better left to operate on tarmac, & should be avoided on gravel & wet soil for lack of grip.
                  3. The bike does about 72kmph at 5k RPM in the 6th & final gear. It is a bit sluggish upto 4k RPM, & is a gem beyond that.
                  4. A lot of people of your height ride the R15, & have no issues. The riding posture is definitely among the sportiest available in the country. Test ride it to see it is a comfortable bike per your definition.

                  EDIT
@All: Does anyone know the YZF R15 font name (& where I can et it from)? eg: Arial, Times New Roman etc.
I wanted a sticker for my bike, but a couple of sticker shops I tried at, were not able to replicate the font

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

                  • 1. I guess it depends on your SVC , Mine charges 180 for chain cleaning and lubing ( better do it yourself )
                    2. yup , tyres are puncture prone , thats the only dis-advantage of them . the feedback u get from the tyre under-breaking and grip is also fantastic .
                    3. the same 70kmph at 5k RPM ...
                    4. I am 5ft11in and weigh 73kgs , absolutely no problems once u get used to the riding posture ...

just take a TD for yourself and decide ...

@tibby: hey did you give them the image and ask them replicate it ? I think it's possible ...

The couple of places I tried at, couldn't do it man.
If I get he font name, I can try some stuff myself too

The airbox also feeds clean air to the air induction system. It is a eco measure to burn residual hydracarbons in the exhaust with fresh oxygen before it reaches the catalytic converter.

The air induction in on the engine head, and sometimes, very rarely petrol blows back through it. I find meager pints in the airbox in a 500km cycle. Its not a concern unless the quantity is very high.

If its high, the induction system needs to be checked. The timing isn't accurate causing larger blow back.
                            You get the point?? :D

well today i found time to check em out that sound was actually comin from the fuse under the seat the black box connecting to the battery its the fuse i think there is a tick sound when i try to fire her up, and if the lights r switched on then there wont be any response from the bike not even the tick sound
