Dude try to apply same colour vinyls and see if that helps.

@neoakshay -heard a lot of tales about you and your R15 from sarvajit, now it seems you will be missing from this thread. All the best with your new CBR

@kyaw - engine vibrations can be due to footpegs, loose fork. Check them before hand and as prakrit told Engine bolt and chassis center bolt also need to be checked. Also ask the old owner did he crashed the bike where chassis took beating, or something else. If you have comprehensive insurance than change it under claim if its something major.

Thanks.. Will bring it for checking as soon as possible... well it's quite unlikely the owner crashed it as it still feels real tight..

I think a new tank costs 1700/- Rs roughly, and i think its better. When i say the tank i mean the external red part which has scratches as the main tank is inside the red covering. Also if you put lights or LED it doesnt matter till the Lights or LED are not towards the exhaust of fairing as it may get burned and you may get a wiring malfunction which could be fatal. Better consult someone and see the plus and minus points too.

just a doubt that came to my mind, not much idea in the field of Electricals.

CHarging rate remains the same but think about it this way, you only use the lights on nights, which is (for me) 40% of my riding, so 60% of the time I'm riding without lights on. the battery gets charged during this period. And unless you do something like leaving your lights on with the bike being off, I don't think that the battery would get drained.

However if you're talking about getting te battery charged from a shop or something then yes, it will take a bit more time.
A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.

                  hmmm, got it
Since the charging rate is same, it will take more time to get it charged completely. When did you installed the 5ah battery? I Hope its running Fine Right?

I don't get what you mean by "take more time to get charged".

As per my understanding, the bike's battery gets discharged only when you leave the lights on while the bike is off.

Think of the battery like a big earthen pot with a little nozzle at the bottom, and another source of water which continually replenishes the pot. Now when you switch on the lights, the nozzle is opened and the water (electricity) stored in the pot (battery) flows out. Now as long as the bike is running, it will provide more water to the pot. Hence the battery does not drain out.

A bigger battery is a bigger pot. Doesn't do you any real good, but it holds more water so you can keep the nozzle open without running the engine for a longer time.

If you read all that and didn't understand much. Then, my friend, I'll tell you this, I've had the battery for about 2 months now. Another xbhpian, Meghan has had an Amaron 5Ah on his R15 for about 1.5-2 years now.

I have no problems with the battery. It is good. Bike starts in half a crank even in winter mornings. Comes with 4 year warranty, is good value for money as compared to the "crappy-get's f*cked in 1 year MINDA" and the sooper expensive and sooper unfindable TATA Green.

I don't know if I can be clearer than this.

                        • Finally got my bike serviced after over a year/6K kms. Replaced the chain kit with both sprockets, cone set&the regular oil&air filters.Handling is back&bike feels happy. Feel I should have done this before the cosmetic mods!
Those who advised about the sanding of the inside of the rims, I have got it done this time, let's see whether this solves the air leakage problem.
I have pics of a small surprise mod coming up soon too!

                            • After 6th service and re greasing the front cone set, i took my R15 to hit some hills and as usual i tried to lean her in a left hander.

I was amazed by her response as she was much faster to turn than before and was responding all the way to the leans i wanted to take even in mid corner.
Happy with that. Also i came to know that at every 10000-12000 kms if you grease your cone set, it lasts longer and your steering response is much more effective.
