Better keep out of this kind of useless oil additives. Their claim is that the oil need not be replaced at any time but only the oil filter in every 10000 or so kms!Originally posted by jeyessh View Postwhy is it that you mixed only two sachets ?? cant the entire filling be done by gt oil?
Paul,Originally posted by paulsonaivy View Posthelo
you just need 2 sachets to treat a 150 cc bike,
using gtoil 1 liter will be a bit expensive

Is the cc of the engine deciding the quantity of this miraculous oil additive? What material changes is this oil additive making on the engine oil to last it forever? Have you any reliable evidence like laboratory test result other than something like “Gopal in Mumbay said” or “Paul at Utopia” said?
Are you, the dealer of that oil here in India, or the manufacturing company ready to give a stamped written undertaking agreeing to compensate the losses if any caused by the usage of that oil in engine? If the answer is no, why?Last edited by punarvasu; 12-19-2011, 04:40 AM.

I have done that without any trouble, since on my bike its Full DC setup, there wont be fluctuation of current delivered to the bulbs. Only it will drain the battery faster. But on my old discover125 have burnt the bulb many times when I tried using pass switch, either the high beam or low beam would get burnt if bulb was 3 or more months old.Originally posted by Sarvajit View Post@All: Have a simple doubt-how many of you have made both lights glow in low beam too? If you do that, will both the lower filaments glow in low beam&both high filaments in big beam?
At present I'm unable to check this as my RHS headlamp&parking lamps are not working.

All I can say is rather than putting oil + additive for around 1000rs.
You can change the semi synt+oil filter twice in same intervals. It will give your bike a better life. There are no short-cuts to any place worth going. So ride safe when you are treading uncharted roads.

after one and a half years, the infamous MINDA battery on my bike seems to be on the verge of giving up!
i've read that quite a few have shifted to AMARON 5Ah batteries and are happy. I just wanted some reviews and comparisons to the stock one..
after changing the battery, would it be possible to change both the low and high beam bulbs to 55/60W ??

i've been seeing for a long time, kept silent but there has to be a limit.
1) you have not used the product so, stay shut.
2) if you don't want to use it, keep your worthless comments and questions away from the forum.
3) and the most important one, this thread is not only for gt-oil, its an ownership experience thread, and the ones who use this oil are giving their respective experiences,
if you feel its fake or a spoof, then keep it to yourself and stop spamming the otherwise deteriorating quality of this thread.
you must learn to respect other fellow members and specially their views.
if you can't you may as well stay away from this "community".
and FYI btw, even xbhp of the year is using this additive, which speaks for itself.
no offence meant.
i would also request paulson to start a new thread meant for this purpose so as not to attract comments from the non-interested and also so as to keep this thread spam-free.
thanks.
In my opinion, it is a useless, spurious and worthless product and I expressed my opinion here. Who are you to ask me to stay shut and keep away from this forum and community? You are spamming this forum by using it to sell a spurious, worthless oil; not me.

I finally got the above problem resolved once and for all. The culprit turned out to be the speed sensor and front wheel bearings. The SVC mechanic opened up the sensor to find it filled with dirt (kachra). This was removed with the help of high pressure air and then greased.Originally posted by akshay View PostI have been having the same problem though the sound disappears for sometime after putting 2 drops of oil on the speed sensor (The part at the end of the LHS front fork where the sensor is located). Hope this helps!
A longer term solution would be (1) getting the sensor part opened up and serviced (2) replacing it.
It was also found that the front wheel bearings had packed up - so those were also replaced (Cost Rs.275 incl. labor for both sides). Time taken to complete the job was 20 minutes.
The reason for the sound could have been two-fold (1) Dirt in the speed sensor and (2) the wheel play due to worn out bearings was putting pressure on the speed sensor causing it to make a sound.
To my relief - this problem is resolved and I am happy riding again.Ride To Live

Hi Guys,
Is it possible to mount frame sliders & rear seat cowl for R15 v2?
Comment
-
for the v1 atleast, afaik the frame sliders have not and cannot be fitted directly without any modifications, also if you're talking about the seat cowl yamaha is selling for the v1 at present, no it won't fit the v2 as the shape of the seat and most of the related things are totally different..Originally posted by abhijitkn View PostHi Guys,

btw you have the v1 or the v2??
