If you have proper grip from the palms, it will help by putting less pressure on the wrists too. I still feel slight discomfort in the palms at slow moving traffic signals etc.but unconsciously the body weight shifts behind&it goes away.
Only pain I got riding this bike for long distances was in my left ankle once after a 550kms.ride, that too coz I was wearing riding boots&kept my left foot bent under the gear lever!
Take it easy, your body will get used to it soon. Ride on!

The bike felt just AWESOME to me (even under 5k RPM) probably because my previous bike is a HH passion plus, but I don't care, I'm just in love with the bike (both) ! Took a loooong route home from the showroom with bro as pillion, and tried adjusting to the position, absolutely no discomfort in my back. But palms and right wrist were a little uncomfortable (ya I know not to put weight on my arms, am not doing that) but I guess now its only a matter of time till I get used to it.

Impact yellow looks AMAZING. Ppl on the road were just staring at it, I was sure some accident would happen because everytime I overtook any two wheeler, 50% of the time both the rider and pillion stared at my bike when I was passing (and I was looking and enjoying their reaction)

..Thank God for everything that's happened til' now, and thanks to dad n mom for support, and to bro for enthu !! .. I wanna thank all those who've been a part of this thread and more importantly a part of xBhp, you've helped me get my blurry dreams into focus and to work towards them.

Gonna have a bite to eat n go roaming ... a few pics will be uploaded in the evening!

        • @TnT: Welcome to the club! Glad to know you're enjoying every moment of the bike..

Reg the wrist-pain, its not something uncommon for new R15 riders. Give it a few days, & it will disappear.. I'm not sure if wearing riding gloves can help reduce the pain, but you can give it a try.. Else, wait for a couple of weeks of riding the R15, & the wrist-pain will be history..

Cheers to your new acquisition, & Ride Safe!

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

              • @TnT: Congrats on the R15 & enjoy the eye-balling everywhere you go :P
As for the wrist pain try this. Put your weight on ur hips and legs rather than the arms. Try bringing your hands as close as possible to your body while riding and make sure there is a slight bend rather than stretching your arms straight while riding. Get this posture right and there will be no pain.

                    • not in a good shape

finally i have brought my lazy ass here at this thread...oohhyeaaa(that is supposed to be read as a rockstar was shouting)

this time summer has been very bad here in the holy city-Amritsar and its dusty condition has not helped

although the roads are great here but that 45-50 degrees of temp was burning my head inside the helmet

so...i abandoned my R15(very very sorry)for 3 months(just usin sumtimes in b/w) and was usin my car for daily commute

now want to start riding it again(cause of all the hype built by the souped up R15 roaming all around...envy them) but she(her name is Pamela btw) has been miserable...i even posted this on help forum sometime back but instead of doing anything just started to use my car again

                      List of some glitches:
                      1.rough
2.resisting to go up the revs
3.lost the right RVM(i parked it in the underground parking of the mall where my gym is and when i came back she lying was on the floor you sick bastards)
                      4.engine feels so much stressed
5.after achieving some certain speeds there is some shrilling noise from the engine.
6.after leaving her in the sun for say an hour she doesn't start
for a start now i m going to give her for a service ASAP and get all the possible work done

maybe i should learn to service her myself...someone here ever did that??

hey btw which engine oil do u guys use cause as i remember at my last service the guy asked me about it. he gave me option b/w one which was Rs.175 and other for Rs.475 or something like that.

PS-any mod who reads this, this is not a help post just confessing stuff in front of other owners.
                      PPS-Guys don't hate me I LOVE PAMELA

Went for another 40km ride, the wrist pain is still there (though not too painful, just uncomfortable) but no back pain at all (touch wood!)
My RTR wont pain your hand and i dont have any problems with R15 esp with the TAXI R15.
Head over this weekend to mana area...

Man looking at he pic pulls me towards R15

Took a quotation for R15 today folks at the SVC are clueless when they will be able to deliver a yellow R15. he says its gonna be a bigggg waiting time and rest of the colours can be delivered in 2 days.

He was saying that R15 production is going to be stopped. Reason -- New better model in 2010

Wonder how do these guys easliy beat PR's of a MNC

But why would they do this as saying all these can affect their sales?
I have also heard this rumour in some other web-sites including 'motorbeam'!
