Thanks for the concern, we need pedestrian crossings very badly-atleast Bangalore has them, though I doubt how many follow!&That is the reason for my posting this-its not that all pedestrians are crazy, but if there is no concept of a pedestrian crossing, they will walk across the busiest traffic without a care in the world!

Never mind, my bike was vandalized&dropped once. I lost a footrest, billet clutch lever accessory&side panel in the process. RVM was only scratched, not replaced.

About your ability, even Im a rider, a driver, and a pedestrian sometimes.. And I know very well how things happen in a flash of sec or in the heck of confusion, how things go on the roads and who do mistakes oftenly. Thats why I nowhere said that the mistake is your's or you should have been careful.

All stated and meant by the post was
-''at this alarming rate people are jumping before you or flipping your stickers, you have to get your whole bike replaced in a month or two because of others mistake!'' it was written in lightweight and meant to be read in lightweight..
Yes, you are right, I didn't take it to heart at all. We suffer most of the time due to others' mistakes on the road&off it. I remember Old Fox's post-we have to be pro active not reactive!
Forget about our sensibility-the real sensibility is written in my signature below-something that we cannot ignore even for a second while riding on Indian roads!

        update - the dome Costs
        310 INR
Did you find out the price today? I called up 2 showrooms here but they don't have stock.

Thanks for the concern. Luckily that is the only damaged part, nothing to RVMs/side panels as the bike did not fall. Yes I picked up the visor&speedo flap from the road-they were not damaged, I can refit them. Hope I get the headlamp cowl soon.

                • Tyre Grip..

                  Hi Guys,
I had left my bike in rain for around 2 days.. And when I took her for a ride...I felt that the back brakes were locking very quickly(even the front brakes)..and I didnt feel as confident as I was before at sharp turns... Is this the problem with the tyres or the brakes?? And now I saw rust like deposition on the chain..which goes off by rubbing...are the chains of R15 of such low quality..I remember leaving my zma in rain for weeks without the chain guard and I't still remained like a new one even though the lube was washed off...

                  • A Superbike Replica and a Roadrunner always behave diffrently both on road or in garage!
One cannot expect a Replica to withstand any situation like a Roadrunner nor one can expect a roadrunner to give gallops and gallops of confidence in any situation like the Superbike Replica!

                    Now coming back on topic..
The locking problem is due to the Brakes. Dry ur bike well before any serious ride further.
                    Else get them cleaned.

The chain is not of bad quality, I would rather call it delicate thing which needs handling with care, though it is much more dust/water/smoke prone than the Zma's. So I guess if you use the chain sprays or any chain cleaner then it would be helpful!

If its urgent then use petrol (use in less amount and use very wisely to avoid any mishap)..damn effective thing!!

                    • ^ mate ,
u arent supposed to use petrol.

It hardens the O rings and renders it useless.

That was my two cents ,

                      • Exactly, do NOT use petrol. SBK O-ring chains have kerosene as recommended degreaser. I guess we can use it for our bikes too.

                          Oh!
I used it once because the mech suggested me to do so only if its urgent and good cleaning is required in quick time. Results were good for me and my chain never sounds, but if it harms then would take care next time.
Though can you tell me if it harms the O-ring then what can be used at its place?

The best is any O ring spray, but sometimes kerosene is used by the mechs too, in case of extreme condition usage.

@All: I received a very nice message from Yamaha, birthday wishes. Felt really nice-but the only thing is TODAY IS NOT MY BIRTHDAY!

Which o ring spray would you suggest?? And also about a body coating...teflon or anything else which is more effective???

                              • I would suggest using motul chain lube along with motul chain clean(for cleaning the chain). The combo costs around 850(400+450)
Is there any other body coating apart from teflon coating???
