      Radiator fan

      Hey guys! That we don't have a temperature gauge on the R15, had a question bothering me for some days now..
      At what temperature does the radiator fan on the R15 kick in?

      Also a noob question : Are the radiator fan & coolant linked in anyway in performance of their duties?

      Please enlighten me/ us all..

        I used 100/90 Vertigo for the rear, and the front was stock and it was loosing grip lot of times, I wish I had a better front tyre.
        I am still using the vertigo but again the cornering ability of the bike has gone for a toss.

          I don't know the exact temperature, but there is a temperature sensor that makes the fan kick in.
          Yes, coolant&radiator fan functioning are connected, as if the coolant level is too low or not being supplied to the engine, it will make the engine overheat, thereby causing the temperature to rise, then the sensor will send a signal to make the radiator fan start more often. So, if you find your radiator fan switching on every now&then, you should check your coolant level.

              I parked the bike with the helmet attached to front RVM...i dont know what happened, but maybe someone must have hit forcefully on the helmet resulting in a crack on the front visor...luckily nothing happened to the dome...

              I keep my bike very carefully,it has fallen down only once from me that too a minor crash...but my friend took it once and crashed it on the highway, lucky bloke, nothing happened to him but all of the front fairings were broken including headlight....i had to spend 7K bucks for that damage!!! and ever since then i dont give my ride to anybody....

                AFAIK- The fan kicks in at 90 degrees C. I guess Navnish had posted this before....

                    ^^ i have my sources.. when you gotta maintain your bikes, you gotta know everything about em. I have spent a lot of time gathering information on all my 4 bikes, but still a lot is desired.

                    Just wanted to do my bit for everyone here. cheerios, took me a lot of haggling to get it today. I had it previously also, but lost it due to a PC re format.
