Yes sarvajit u are right...every bike should be fallen atleast once...i crashed my bike within one month of purchasing it,thought it was minor with a few scratches and one RVM broken...I advise u to get a centre stand fitted which costs about Rs 750...Originally posted by Sarvajit View Post2009 YAMAHA YZF-R15

Yes, my bike fell in the first one month too (July 2008). I got the centrestand&highly recommend it to people parking in offices, malls etc. No issues with ground clearance too.Originally posted by krishkanthr15 View PostYes sarvajit u are right...every bike should be fallen atleast once...i crashed my bike within one month of purchasing it,thought it was minor with a few scratches and one RVM broken...I advise u to get a centre stand fitted which costs about Rs 750...
That reminds me, any takers for my paddockstand (racingstand Yamaha accessory)?

I am feeling insecure to park my bike on the center stand. The bike is front heavy and any bugger leans on the bike or pushes it a bit, it would roll ahead. Thought not very easy, it is easier to roll this bike down than other regular bikes. I feel safer to park my R15 on side stand and in 1st gear.Originally posted by Sarvajit View PostYes, my bike fell in the first one month too (July 2008). Why is that so?Originally posted by HydBiker View Post^^^ looks like no blue colour R15 was produced in 2009. It is currently not in production. only old stock is available at some places.
1. Because only the new racing colors were produced?
2. Too much demand for FZ?
3. Rumor coming true that new model R15 is coming in 2010?Quench my thirst with gasoline!

most probable reason - no demand for that colour.
If the blue colour stock made one year ago is still available why should they make new blue bikes?
Initially Blue sold a lot and they'd have made a huge numbers of it. But I think the introduction of Red hit the blue bikes hard and then the new colours... not many are probably buying the blue. Or, maybe the blue is a limited edition

Did you park your bike in the rain? I had a problem when it was parked in the rain for 3-4 days. Cleaned the sparkplug and it was back to normal.Originally posted by anmol_1990 View Postdo any r15 owner sufferered starting problems???
Cold starting etc???
Any starter motor related problems??One of the awesome feelings I had in my life is to see the world receding on my back mirror

hey sarvajit, actually i am from Guntur...I have tried with the dealer here at Vijayawada ....they doesnt have any of the accesories available....i ordered them with local dealer and even paid an advance of Rs 7500 1 month back but still they are unable to get for me....the next time when u go to SVC, just ask them whether any of the accesories are available especially the seat cowl and tank protector...i am willing to come to Hyderabad and take them...Originally posted by Sarvajit View PostReally sorry to hear about your bike's fall. Mine also fell in a similar way when it was new. Take it easy, I believe all bikes fall atleast once in their lifetime, so good ours fell initially&no more thereon!
One piece of advice: Get the mainstand fitted, it really makes it secure in parking. If parking in sidestand, always park in gear.
RVM costs Rs.251 as Krishnakant mentioned. Footrest is Rs.65, but the footrest slider is Rs.250 odd. Hope you picked it up when it fell. Its a bit weird how it fell though-it has a spring reverse action. Anyways, even if you didn't pick the footrest slider up, I would suggest the FZ's slider which is maybe 1/10th the cost of the R15's&is a direct fit.
I saw one here at Pearl the other day-it was red in color. It was for a customer, but they can get it against order&advance payment. Why don't you try here at Venkatesha/Pearl for it?2009 YAMAHA YZF-R15
