Ride it and see for urself, other than the opinions like mine, none can tell you surely whether you'll be comfortable on it or not unless somewhere with similar height has an R15.

@aragon: You have chosen the best sub 250cc bike in India right now. You shouldn't have any problems due to your height while riding the R15. It is small and compact but the ergonomics pretty well will suite you. One question, have u ridden it before? I don't think so, 'cause otherwise you shouldn't be asking this

Kits from yamaha cost an insane amountOriginally posted by hifisharu View PostWhy do you want Pulsar braided hoses? Why not go in for the Braking kit available with the performance kit? Even that has steel braided hoses, petal disc rotor and even revised brake master cylinder
Is the pulsar 220 one cheaper?
, also i want to have the stock rotors.

i had the same "squeek-squeek" problem from my front disc...someone here told me to clean my disc...i did that and its no more there!Originally posted by gaurav_c View PostGuys..
This sound is not because of dust on the disc..
I had already written about this sound long back..
All the new R15s that I have seen, have got this problem..
Nothing to worry because the solution is very simple..
Go to the SVC and ask him to remove your front tyre axle and lubricate the rubber seal..
You'll never hear that "squeek squeek" again..
so i thought he should try that!!sigpic

Congrats on the ride! I'm sure you must be enjoying every moment on it..Originally posted by raidenbeast View Posthi guys. I got R15 black 2 days back.
I liked the bike a lot.
I am facing a problem actually - When the bike is in the running condition, i find it difficult to come to neutral mode. whereas as soon as i switch off the engine getting into neutral is very easy. is it the way it was designed or am i not shifting properly? please shed some light upon this topic.
Regarding shifting to neutral from 1st or 2nd, you gotta be really gentle when doing so.. else it'll move to the next gear.. It could also be likely that your gear lever is a bit tight.. Mine was, & I got the gear lever mounting removed & re-fixed at the SVC on day 2 of my bike.. It became perfect post that.. Judge yourself which will be the fix to your problem..:P
Here's wishing you happy & safe riding on the R15
Its absolutely fine to use the engine kill switch at signals.. Most of us here had the same question some months ago, & got it confirmed from a Yamaha official over mail.. Continue using it, unless you love seeing the self-check mechanism in action every time you turn the key into ignition mode..Originally posted by Amrit View PostEvery time i switch on/off my bike i always use the "engine kill" red switch.
So is it recommended to use this switch every time? Or should i keep it ( always on) & should only use the key to switch on/off the bike?
Does using the switch every time will have any effect in the long run.?

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

Ya..i mean..the squeek squeek can come because of dust on the disc but that should happen after much later stages of usage..Originally posted by ashes View Posti had the same "squeek-squeek" problem from my front disc...someone here told me to clean my disc...i did that and its no more there!

This guy has used his bike for like 500KMs till now so..

@ GPfreak- bro, best check the length and the diameter of the hose. Wrong settings can hamper braking to a large extent.
The master cylinder and the cable are made to a select specification, and changing any of those could throw the braking off-balance...
BTW- the svc here says you can buy individual components. So try if you get only the braided hose from the Body kit...You get the point?? :D

My bike is finished! I hope I can post my photos here, its not a R15, but his Indonesian brother, the Vixion.
After two weeks of modification, the Aprilia RS125 swingarm fits.

Next will be upsidedown front fork, and I really really want the Daytona kit, I need more power. Is it already available in India, maybe somewhere online? Or maybe somebody can place it on ebay for me...
I check this thread everyday, you have a great bike there in India!

^ Your bike looks absolutely stunning and I'm sure performance wise its impressive too. Would really appreciate if you would summarize what all you did to get your Vixion from stock to the current form, what are the changes in performance etc.
About the perf kit, I find it to be quite overpriced BUT if you want it no matter what, then we can find a way to get it to you. xBhp is the best place for that!
I'm saying again, your bike is simply beautiful.
