Arre, sirjee, even I was kidding. I cant even get basic projectors right, how on earth will I design one with sliding cut-offs....?

Anyways, firstly I'll have to source projectors, which is turning out to be real tough.... And I'm probably getting a broken headlamp assembly soon..... But any pointers? The difference in angles between high and low beam?
Actually such projectors DO exist! :P They have a cut-off which can be electronically moved, they're called bi-xenon projectors or something..so thought maybe you really were thinking of those! Unfortunately, like most other good things, we can't find those also in our country...and they're too expensive too. Or you'd have been seeing those projectors on my bike by now!

Think about sourcing the projectors first, and make sure they fit in the housing. Then, make a design for yourself. Once you're done with the design making, get a broekn HL assy. Experiment on the broken HL assy, try opening it by using various methods..finally make out which way best suits you. Once you open it,figure out how to mount the projectors. Get the mounting right, then you can alter the mountings slightly at a later point...to align the beam. I didn't calculate any angle as such like you asked me, I just put the incomplete assembly on my bike and experimented until I got the right high-low beam variation.

And don't you worry about the electricals, that's the easiest part..wiring is the last thing to be done!
    Sunny.

    • @digislayer: Congratulations! Your hard work has paid off! I would also suggest covering the pilot lamps if they are useless now. I appreciate your zeal&perseverance. Now yours looks like a proper baby R1!

@varun_r15: I also faced a similar problem with my 1st set of LED position lamps. They started flickering later&went off permanently. It could be a high voltage issue. I wanted to try it out once again, I got a new set now, seems to be working fine as of now.
In your case, check the sockets once&if you have the cover, just check the voltage rating.

@rahulrulez: It is a chain sound, it comes when you accelarate. Just get the regular chain&sprocket lubing&slack adjustment done.
      Quench my thirst with gasoline!

Thanks a lot anna! I still am in a confusion if I should let the pilots stay and plonk LEDs into them, or if I should make them useless :P

Fuel Injection is the name of the technology, and Injector kit is a part of the entire Fuel Injection kit.

Neat job done. Well done. Put in the Leds in to the pilots and make sure you change to some light which looks whiter for the projectors.

Also the projectors are from Skoda . Its a very good pick, didnt you get the bulbs along with the projector ?

I'm not sure about the contents of the Injector kit, but I'm guessing it should contain the injectors, their harnesses and pipings and might be the fuel pump too. Telling you again, this's just what I think..not concrete info

                    • @ digi- Thanks. BTW all 4 lenses are identical right? Keep the pilots. Need something, when its dark, but not dark enough for headlights..... Can put LEDs, that'll save power.....

@ rider_rock- Injector kit can also mean the fuel injection system, which comprises of the injector, the ECU, the fuel pump and all related wiring and pipes..... BTW, why do you ask?

                          Features:
1)Two dedicated inner projectors for low beam alone.(one each side)
2)Two outer projectors dedicated for high beam alone.(one each side again)
3)Depth perception, the inner projectors poke out by an inch when compared to the outer two projectors.
                          4)No light spillage anywhere.
5)Even the high beam projectors have cut-offs.
6)All four lamps light up when you're running on short beam and hit the "pass" switch.
7)Self made adapter so that the stock H4 connector of the bike fits in.
8)Stock rear rubber seals used(the ones that wrap around the H4 bulb's metal base to keep humidity out of the HL assembly). The adapter sits perfectly in the same seals just like a H4 bulb's metal base would, thus ensuring air-tight seal.
9)The setup is placed in such a way that all the bulbs are accessible from outside through the stock bulb changing hole at the rear, no need to open the assembly to change burnt bulbs.

10)The best feature which I didn't find in any other retrofit, ADJUSTABLE beam. The difference between the high and low beam cannot be changed, but both together as a unit(either LHS unit or RHS unit) can be upped/lowered according to individual needs. The beams of both RHS and LHS can be panned horizontally too. All this can be done right from outside itself, using the stock adjustment screws!

11)Currently using some cheap-ass 55w bulbs in all the four. Plan to upgrade to xenons later. The current beam spread pattern and cut-off is great, but the bulbs suck..I got them for Rs.50 each for testing purpose. Continuing using them for the time-being,

12)All four projectors use H3 type bulbs.
13)Been running them since Monday, didn't face any battery issues until now.
Me too want this headlight can you get it done for me too

Yeah, all four lenses are identical. That's exactly why I've not yet removed the pilots. But I'm wondering it maynot look so good having "three sircles" in each eye :P

ANd no, if you incllude all those things I doubt it'll become a Fuel Injection kit, an Injector kit is something different, related to only the injectors and not the entire Fuel Injection system :P

It could be something as minor as a loose connection. Have it checked at the SVC.
