To be frank with you, i am a very new rider in R15. My bike is a second hand one and when i bought it, the bike had run in 6.2 k Km. The rear pads totally out. The front one as good as new. When talking with the previous owner, that guy told he never uses the front brakeOriginally posted by pulsar_flame View Post@gp freak oh kk..but is it worth going to a low quality disk brakes ? because brakes are more imp for us !
cos it might skid.
I have ridden the bike for around 250 Km in a couple of day and except when taking tight turns, i never use the rear. I have to literally lift my right foot to activate the rear brake
. Rear doesnt require stopping power. Its enough if the rear is used to stabilise during hard braking to stop the tail from waggin and during trail braking.
Stick to the Original pad for the front cos that is where the real stopping power lies. Its very progressive and has good feedback. My pulsar used to snap like a dog every time i touch the front brake

i use it it doesent rust the rims and Most tires are filled with compressed air, which when dry consists of about 78 percent nitrogen, 21 percent oxygen, and 1 percent other gases by volume. Water vapor (humidity) can make up as much as 5 percent of the volume of air under worst-case conditions. Filling your tires with nitrogen mainly does two things: it eliminates moisture, and it replaces skinny oxygen molecules with fat nitrogen molecules, reducing the rate at which compressed gas diffuses through porous tire wallsOriginally posted by varun_r15 View Postanybody using nitrogen gas in tyres...??
if yes then please pen down its response, its advantages, problems etc

The same adhesive which seals the stock assembly dude. I didn't change itOriginally posted by Srijan View PostWhoa! Seems like lot of effort has gone into the project. Keep up dude.
Unique ride there!
Btw, which adhesive did you use to get the HL assembly back to one piece?
And, angel eyes would have added the "bling factor" to the ride. Just my thought.
Cheers!
And if there're any gaps, I use hot-melt glue to seal it. Angel lamps and all would make it more complicated, plus I was limited on time. I have no other means of transport for college. Planned to complete the project by the end of my vacation, and unfortunate events made it to get completed 2 days after the start of my coll. So missed 2 days already..couldn't dedicate more time on the bling :P
Was just kidding dude, why'll I have any issues if you replicate it?Originally posted by svjhonda View Post@ digi- okay, PM me your royalty charges....
Anyways, It'll take super dedication to come up with a job like that. I had the idea of projectors, around the time you were looking for projectors, but my idea was two projectors only. Later I realized if I set them for low beam, high beam will be compromised and vice versa. So now I'm coming up with R1 style projectors with sliding shades for high beam to give 'takkar' to your projection system
And wow, that's a great news now! I too had the same difficulty of compromising between a high beam/low beam. That's why went this R1 like setup of 2 projectors on each side. Did you mean sliding "cut-offs" when you said shades?? If yes, where do you plan to source those projectors from? And what's the cost you're expecting
Thanks a lot dude!Originally posted by KwokFist View Post@Digislayer: Dude your work with the bike is just amazing! Its come out just great man! Lot of hard work on your part and has paid off totally! Wayy to go man! U've the coolest looking front end on any R15 ever made! Cheers to that!
If u are looking at xenons get someone to get u a kit from www.gothidxenon.com it will run fine. But u might need someone to get it down as its expensive to get it shipped directly from there.
Anyways Kudos for coming out with a successful project on your bike!
Yep, it indeed too a lot of hard-work,patience and thinking to finish this one off ...not to forget the investment!
Yeah, if I really do go for xenons, that's where I'll be getting them from for two reasons: they have the correct color temperatures, they have HIDs which consume correctly 35w each. And yes, like you said, shipment is not easy. Should ask fellow xBhpians who got stuff from there previously for help!Sunny.

I have an issue. I am losing air pressure frequently. Like I have to visit petrol pump once in 3-4 days for getting air filled.
I got nitrogen filled sometime back. Back then, I had frequent loss in air pressure. The culprit was the valve. It was loose. Got it tightened. But, still it problem persists.
Now I am running on compressed air that we find at petrol pumps.
What could be the reason for such behaviour? Is it normal with R15 tires to lose pressure so frequently?
Help me out, guys.

We think it's the chain noise only dude, if you're sure it's something other than than the chain noise take it to the service center immediately. Check the chain's slack, and don't leave without getting a proper explanation as to why the noise is coming. They cannot escape saying "rubber is touching" crap, Yamaha is stringent with their dealers and serious with customer service.Originally posted by Rahulrulez View Postplz answer this

If you've been running with a low pressure tyre for a few days the tyre must've just lost its sync with the rim. try over-inflating it to about 40 or 45psi and ride it for some time(be extremely cautious during this as the bike'll skid badly then). This should make the tyre seat properly once again. Also check the rim for any deformations or bends along its edges, check for puntures using soap water. If none of these help, ask the mechanic to re-install the tyre.Originally posted by Srijan View PostI have an issue. I am losing air pressure frequently. I tried over-infalating tires to sync with the rims. But, still have this prob. Tire loses about 4psi in say4-5 days!Originally posted by digislayer View PostIf you've been running with a low pressure tyre for a few days the tyre must've just lost its sync with the rim. try over-inflating it to about 40 or 45psi and ride it for some time(be extremely cautious during this as the bike'll skid badly then). I got the front inflated to 35psi and the rear to 40psi. I'll try doing it again with higher pressure. I couldnt find any deformations as such with the rims. I think they are just fine. And, there are no punctures. I have this issue of pressure-loss with both tires.
How often do you fill air into the tires?

My front tyre's been running without any refills since 3 months!Originally posted by Srijan View PostI tried over-infalating tires to sync with the rims. But, still have this prob. Tire loses about 4psi in say4-5 days!

It still has pretty good pressure lol. My rear has a problem similar to yours. Both my rims got damaged once, and I had to get them replaced. My rear has been loosing pressure ever since. Tried the over-inflation method, tyre sealant method. Got some temporary relief from both, and now my tyre's got too many puntures too..so need to change it off. It's become even worser since 2 weeks(might be another puncture), I presently need to fill air almost everyday, atleast once in two days..or there'l be almost no air left in the tyre. The tyre too got worn out cos of riding at low pressures, so it's at the end of life now..will change it soon.

What should I be doing to get things back to normal?
Any suggestions other than over-inflation method? I dont want the tires to be re-intalled.
