EDIT: Having seen the above video time & again, this is what I have noticed:
1. The existing blue colour remains unchanged. Even the body graphics are ditto.
2. The existing black colour has some new body-graphics thrown in (different from the existing blue-one). It seems to also get white rim-stripes as default option, coz no other accessory is visible on the bike. So maybe Yamaha will be providing the rim-stripes as default, just like it does on the FZ-S.
3. Two new colours - Yellow & a new shade of red are in. They share the same body-graphics as the new black one has. They seem to have body coloured rim-stripes as default option.
4. The existing red (or rather maroon) colour seems to have been phased out, coz it is not shown at the end of the video.
5. The tail-light is not even shown once in the video. So all hopes of LED tail-lamps come to an end, as otherwise Yamaha would have definitely shown it off in the ad.
Conclusion: Changes limited to 2 new colours (Yellow & a new shade of Red), & new body-graphics (read: stickering) for the Red, Yellow & Black ones, while the babe in Blue one retains the same ones as at the time of launch of the bike a year ago.
No other visible changes on the bike..

Hello Everyone..
A little howdy to everyone on this forum..
Well...i must say, xbhp has helped me a lot ever since i started following it..especially this Yamaha R15 ownership thread..
I booked R15 for me on 2nd of July in Blazing Red colour..(I didn't really like the new red colour since it's very tangy red and the previous one i.e. maroonish, looks more like royal to me..)
So anyway..I'm looking forward to gain hell lot of knowledge from all since I'm completely new to REAL bike world..previously I've used P150 and other bikes for only and only city commuting..never really got into proper biking but always craved it..
I hope my Yamaha R15 quenches my thirst...or maybe vice versa..

Just second post and I need a little help here..
I saw the new advert above which shows off the new four colours in real style..
My question is, am i being stupid if I buy new yamaha R15 in old red colour? Is there any difference in engine and performance or the difference is only with colour? The thing is, I really dont like Blue and Yellow...well I do admire those colours on street but for my own bike I wouldn't want it to be Blue or Yellow..
Also, I've always used a black bike and I'm saturated with that now..so no Black also..
Choice is between the Reds..the new red, I dont like because as i already stated, I think it's too tangy bright red..I want my bike to look a bit royal with darker tones and not bright..I find the maroonish red the best..
So, finally...If at the moment i want new R15 and I'm buying old Red coloured bike instead of new Red, am I making a mistake here? I'm getting a feeling of buying an old product instead of brand new...
Main question..Is there any difference between the above two except for colour??Comment

U like the old red and u want it , go ahead and pick it up .
no diff in specs except for the colours ,
If i were in ur place , i would go with what i like , be it old or whatever.
I dont care the color of the bike , im more into riding be it which color it is , red blk silver or rainbow color. Purpose matters more to me than looks.
Plus i dont think , the new colours would be priced the same.
Yamaha will add a few thousands on the cost i suppose.
Since there is no difference in the engine, and u like the maroon , go ahead and get it.
But do wait until u get to see it in flesh and then make ur final decision.

buy the cheaper one .. and for colours .. you'll see a pastel shade whenever you ride your bike and you will see red when you get it serviced. So it doesn;t matter.

U r right no visible changes, Tail light is same watch the video, at 0.15 sec pause it u can see the tail light is same...

By far the black looks the best (personal opinion).
