Thanks a lot! I just need a guide to help me get that done!(the patent)
Well, I completed it on monday, but couldn't post as I had some trouble with my PC.

A word of CAUTION lol, the outer two projectors which're showing white weren't actually glowing. It's just the camera's flash which's making them appear like they're glowing :P

Will attach more and better pics later when I take pics in day time. Beam spread pics to follow too, the beam is adjustable from outside!

        • Saw the YouTube video on the racing colors. I think the old colors look better, except the yellow which will be welcomed by yellow lovers. I am happy I got the old black with golden stickering. It has a striking resemblance to the R1. I saw an R1 with the same combo yesterday while returning from office. Sadly neither the rider nor the pillion were wearing lids.

Somehow I'm liking the new Red color, especially the "red" side covers with some stickering on 'em. Do you have any idea about the cost involved in changing all the body panels ? . Just to check if it is within my budget limit

THats what i was talking about...its the spark plug adaptor.you can find a spark near the spark plug when you raise the throttle slowly.

Hmmm.. The yellow looks cool, front on.. IMO, too much white used on the sides..
& IMO, the new red simply sux.. Looks pretty girlish to me.. Hehehe..

                My views on the YZF-R15 V2.0: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/news/198...tml#post699240

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

                • 2 contradicting opinions on the new red in the same page!
Anyways, I prefer the old red.

@Priyatam: I don't think changing body panels would be worth, it might be better to get them painted locally&stickered too. If you know the right guys, you can get it done for less&with the same quality, if you get the stickers clear coated they would be permanent. You wouldn't have to waste the old body panels, including the tank, which would seem silly to throw away!

Thanks Sarvajit. I'm not yet ready to change the body panels, will contact you for more info once my mind says "Go, change" (oh yeah, pocket too )

hehe , for me it looks good in the advert, need to see it in flesh so can come to conclusion.

My babe has some scratches all over the body, reason - no proper parking @ both home and office. my heart hurts whenever I look at them.

One more silly question: As my bike is registered with "Red" color, can I change body panels to some other color like "Yellow"

I would never suggest you to change something thats not broken! If you are really interested in the color, the option of repainting is always there! I know some good people who can do these jobs with perfection at low cost.
As for the color thing, you will need to get it changed in your RC book&take a new RC, not an issue.

Hey! Great! Take your time, but do post better pics.

And I guess the low & high beams are wired differently now..... Any chance I can seek permission and implement the design without legal battles...?
                        You get the point?? :D

                          • Kudos to the ad agency that came up with the R15 ad. Good time to be a biker and flipping through channels. First the ad that set the ball rolling - the brilliant Pulsarmania campaign. Then the lovely & thought provoking Apache RTR 180 ad. Now this. I need to shift to advertising....

2 cents - Yamaha shouldve come out with these colours in the beginning itself. Personally I waited for the new colours for a bit before telling myself that I couldnt keep waiting forever.

Found this kinda wierd - they've stickered over the AGV name on the helmets (well except for that 1 sec when they have captured the helmet in the rear view mirror) Whatsupwiththat ?

I disagree... a paint job will cost you about 5k whereas the complete body kit wont cost you as much

                              • Cramster bags

                                Hi,
Ive used the Cramsters on a dozen PUNE-MUMBAI-PUNE trips crammed with all kinds of stuff along with a Turtle tank bag.Bought it after seeing hydbikers snaps on this site.
I use a cushion which is about 4 inches thick and covers the rear seat, then sling the cramsters over it.Fixing the straps takes 1 minute and even with a full load the rear panels dont get damaged.Have gone upto 114kph with all bags loaded.Of course handling is not as slick as on a unloaded bike but anytime safer then a backpack.
A camelback 3 litre water bladder is great when put in the tank bag filled with chilled water/juice and worth the cost due to the great ergonomics letting u to drink and drive at the same time.
                                singh is king

I would like to see pics of the straps&also of the contact area on the rear panels.
@HydBiker: I think you have this.
