    R15 colours new

    Guys

    these pics had appeared sometime ago on xbhp itself..luckly I saved them

    yellow looks superb...buy a yellow helme and a yellow jacket and just count the faces staring at you..he he he

        The yellow one looks better than the Red one to me.. But using a little less of white on the Yellow one (R1/R6 type) would have made it look better IMO..

        Anyways, any idea when these new colour schemes will be out?

          How many R15 users are bothered about the colour?
          I guess there are very few poser kind of R15 owners around?
          Am I right?

            Majority would agree...I do
            Im still least bothered about what color it is...obviously the new colors do facinate...but not enough to get a custom paintjob done.
            As long as it runs fast...stops faster and give me the same adrenaline boom all the time...Im happy the way it is

              The colour does matter.. If not why would some of us get our R15s modded. & IMO, not all bikes looks their best in the same colour.. Also, you might love black, but the bike you want may look sad in black..
              & there are quite a few people who are really waiting for new colours, especially the Yellow one.. & trust me it looks awesome, only from the front though.. Had the chance of seeing 1 on B'lore roads a couple of weeks back..

                Yes agree, the color does matter, but doesn't have a high priority.

                When i planned to get my bike, i had chose the color blue coz i liked it very much. But still if it wasn't available i would have gone for black without much worries. At the end- I love my babe, no matter what!

                        The yellow is not to my taste though. Maybe a darker shade of yellow would have done the trick.

                            BTW, has anyone seen this ad on TV, or its just been leaked out on the net?

                            EDIT: Having seen the above video time & again, this is what I have noticed:
                            1. The existing blue colour remains unchanged. Even the body graphics are ditto.
                            2. The existing black colour has some new body-graphics thrown in (different from the existing blue-one). It seems to also get white rim-stripes as default option, coz no other accessory is visible on the bike. So maybe Yamaha will be providing the rim-stripes as default, just like it does on the FZ-S.
                            3. Two new colours - Yellow & a new shade of red are in. They share the same body-graphics as the new black one has. They seem to have body coloured rim-stripes as default option.
                            4. The existing red (or rather maroon) colour seems to have been phased out, coz it is not shown at the end of the video.
                            5. The tail-light is not even shown once in the video. So all hopes of LED tail-lamps come to an end, as otherwise Yamaha would have definitely shown it off in the ad.

                            Conclusion: Changes limited to 2 new colours (Yellow & a new shade of Red), & new body-graphics (read: stickering) for the Red, Yellow & Black ones, while the babe in Blue one retains the same ones as at the time of launch of the bike a year ago.
                            No other visible changes on the bike..
