Did I anywhere mention that it is for tail-lamp?

You may use kerosene, we had a fairly lengthy discussion about it somewhere on this thread between me, jd and a couple of others. You may search for it.

Do this, get two cans of zorrick ( pidilite industries ), get it at any hardware store.

Spray one can liberally all over the chain ( a lot of muck is gonna drip from the chain ), leave it overnight.

Then next day, take to SVC centre, tell them to wash with kerosene, water blast and compressed air, use chain clean, and chain lube.

Then again apply a lil zorrick and leave it.

Ideally this gets fixed by removing chain and dipping overnight in kerosene. this method also works as i did for my R15.
        why not the WD40??
although its a few bucks dearer..

btw long time no see jd!! where have you been??

        • Guys I am suffering from a strange problem

As I told you before I had booked my R15(yellow) on 30th of Oct 2010 and they said it will be delivered by 5th December ... So more than a month wait :O

My holidays are going on and so I am free full day. I am eeagerly waiting for my bike and 15 days passed and I am damn frustrated.

I even called up the showroom people. They say that you will get it in 15 days...

Guys I CANT WAIT ANY MORE....

I daily get dreams at night about my R15... :P Lol its so strange

Can anyone tell me how to pass my 15 to 20 days without thinking of the R15?

              its an OT buddy,
don't post such stuff here lest you want to face the mods !!
              but since you've posted it,
i would like to tell you, most of us had to wait hell long to convince our parents to buy it at the first place/save up for it, let alone the waiting period(if any)..
the best way i found to kill time 'then' was by going through the 1000 pages on the ownership thread of the R15...
it was so damn interesting to know what are the general characteristics of the bike..lots of informative posts..
its damn irritating when you have new owners posting
"guys i have a problem, right side light does not work on low beam", "there is a 'tuu' sound coming from engine" and stuff...
keeping in mind the issues above are not issues, are normal and have been discussed like a 100 times before..
so i suggest you go through the thread, xbhp, get the feel of riding safe, search for good riding gears, search for a nice tank-pad, buy them, search the forum for info about the running in period, etc, etc..

The Bike is completely stock, except for a
-High Beam Single filament 35W HID, and a Pair of White LEDs for the Parking.

                      - 9 Services done.
                      - Running on Motul FS 15W40 300V since past 10,000kms. Changing at every 4000Kms or so, and have not noticed any evaporation issues(yet).
                      - Oil Filter changed thrice.( the Oil Filter now costs Rs 150 or around)
                      - Both, Brake Pads changed twice at 9000Kms intervals.
                      - Changed Mirrors 4 times, due to people hitting/pushing it out of it's Ball Joint while walking or while taking their Bikes out in Parking or so. Not because of a crash.
                      - The Relay blew off once. Changed that.
                      - Accelerator and Clutch Cables changed at 15,000Kms.
                      - Spark Plug changed at 12,000Kms.
                      - Air Filter changed at 18,000Kms.

                      Replacements do be Done..

                      - Haven't changed the Radiator yet, since I was out of Country!
                      - Chain Set( Using Yamalube Dry Tape and Motul Chain clean, Links still appear jammed. Will try the Soaking in Kerosene Overnight method soon.)
                      - Cone set.

148? Awesome! I've pushed mine to a whopping 146kmph... the best part is, you can keep up the 148 number (provided there are empty roads) and the bike will never strain! :P Yes YAMAHA!
                          D'oh!

                            - Changed Mirrors 4 times, due to people hitting/pushing it out of it's Ball Joint while walking or while taking their Bikes out in Parking or so. Not because of a crash.
                            - The Relay blew off once. Changed that.

                                its an OT buddy,
don't post such stuff here lest you want to face the mods !!
                                but since you've posted it,
i would like to tell you, most of us had to wait hell long to convince our parents to buy it at the first place/save up for it, let alone the waiting period(if any)..
the best way i found to kill time 'then' was by going through the 1000 pages on the ownership thread of the R15...
it was so damn interesting to know what are the general characteristics of the bike..lots of informative posts..
its damn irritating when you have new owners posting
"guys i have a problem, right side light does not work on low beam", "there is a 'tuu' sound coming from engine" and stuff...
keeping in mind the issues above are not issues, are normal and have been discussed like a 100 times before..
so i suggest you go through the thread, xbhp, get the feel of riding safe, search for good riding gears, search for a nice tank-pad, buy them, search the forum for info about the running in period, etc, etc..
it keeps you occupied..and makes you knowledgeable..

                                15 days are not long..
do post pics when you get it though!
                                Thanks buddy...

Sorry for the OT...i hope this reply isnt OT anyways thats what I am doing I am going through the ownership thread and have reached 161 Page and What i found so many are having problems with their R15 like someones disc pad is spoiled while someones tires are cracking blah blah...thats makes me tense....

Anyways thanks for that i will keep myself occupied by reading more and more
