In your case, check the sockets once&if you have the cover, just check the voltage rating.
well finally my problem has been rectified..
it was the loose connection because of which the right piolet lamp was'nt glowing..
      thanks

Are you talking about the small thin rod that sits on the foot peg and most people scrape of

Yes the rider footpegs have it, and its available as a separate screw on part for i guess some 25 odd bucks max..

          • Chain issue

My R15 has done around 17K+ so far.. Today I took her to SS for tightening the chain... The guy who checked my told dat It's time to change the chain n sprocket.. He said the chain is tight at some point and very loose at some other point...
Can anyone throw some light on this???? Also has anyone changed the chain here???

            • most of the parts which comes in r15 has to be changed only after 10kms ! i think its better to change the new duraluminum sprokets and chain once the perfromance kits comes.

You can the sprocket wear by yourself and decide. Teeth of the sprocket must not have any uneven wear and teeth must not be smoothened, I mean the edges of teeth must not be rounded off. It difficult to judge the chain though.

My R15 did 16000 kms with chain and sprockets in very good condition. I hope you are getting it cleaned and lubed regualarly. Too much dust or debry on chain will low down the life of chain and sprokets.

                    • @ Satyen- bro, last I knew the peg scraper itself costed 270 bucks...! There were a lot of annoyed ppl posting about this sometime back.....!! Are you sure its under 25 bucks?

@ sk8er joe- run the same chain till its expanded beyond the chain puller's limit. Anyways after a replacement the front and rear sprockets are gonna be changed..... So no worries about the chain damaging the sprockets or vice versa.
                      You get the point?? :D

True, Some one flicked my R15's peg scrapper. I enquired with showroom and they said that it costs 260/-

So I removed the other one and remained sailent.
