  • Guys need help, recently i had been on a long ride, i tried different technique with regards to gear change and the results were amazing,

at 9-10K Rev i would do clutchless shift or mere quarter clutch shift this would not let the rev's go down ,and i could keep pulling in same power band.

Everything was fine but now my down shift seems to have f**** up , i mean it's not smooth like before, so should i get my clutch plates checked also is clutchless shift ok for R15 occasionally.

Clutchless shift is fine occasionally for any bike, but if you overdo it, it will definitely take its toll on the clutchplates&gearbox.
Btw, correct usage of clutch during gear shifting is written in the manual-you might be more surprised after reading that!

Front is Rs.65, without footpeg slider. Footpeg slider available separately for Rs.210!

Instead get the FZ's peg slider. Direct fit. Costs 15 bucks and is a bit shorter.

I still have the original slider. Managed to pick it up since the bike fell down in the building only. But thanks for this info, I will keep in mind if I need to replace next time!

may be you should refrain from changing the air filter unless louder sound is the only outcome...

PS: louder sound need not be better sounding.

So the front and the rear pegs are same, the only dif is in the slider pin, right. I just want to try those in my RTR, how it sounds?

Iridium will definitely be better. I haven't used it in my R15, but have used it in my 5 year old Fiero F2&could immediately make out the difference in cold starts. It doesn't need any accelaration to start in the morning&also the firing is very very even. Engine knocking also almost vanished.
I don't know whether you can really make out much of a difference in pickup in your R15 since it is very new, but yes, it will give you more even firing, so better throttle response as well. Please visit the NGK thread&company website for more info.

@All: Here is an R15 with golden rims.

                      • Yippe kay aye!
I finish my 2 months with the bike so far
Officially clocked 5000KMs on the ODO.... Unofficially it should be about 6.5k KMS

My wobble problem was traced to be due to a faulty sprocket.... they will get it replaced...

BTW I saw a guy here with R15+K&N+Spitfire+Iridium and that things just ran...
Now theoritically unless the AFR is tweaked, the extra air and the extra flame wont help... (which the modder also agreed) but what he said is kinda funny-lame-and-brilliant at the same time...

He says that the extra Air that the K&N gets, is burned by the Spitfire and iridium combo... Now that bike did run much torquier, though it sounds like a fartbox ...
So is the analogy right, experts... guinea pigs... please reply!

                          Rims looks quite good ....
BTW...I'm planning for white rims....but what is the whole procedure involved it it..step by step..I mean some say paint, some say lacquering....some say powder coat..

                          Some details would be appreciated.
                          its all about CC...

That gold colour is looking a lot better in photos... when seen directly it was looking yuck and hence I haven't shot any photos of it!

Why the difference? did you get your console changed?

How does a faulty sprocket explain the wobble problem? Did you get a satisfactory explanation? Pls share with us...

Yes, R15 with K&N sounds like a Fartbox. Not sure if anything else changes... Even with an Iridium plug. But yes, that guy does have a very creatively technical mind.

                            • Logged into this part of the blog after ages! so how are the bikes which have done more than 11000 Kms performing? i have crossed this mark and have few issues with the disk plates and pads. Before every one starts giving me advise a short note: " i have got the disk plates changed for the first time and pads for the third time some 1 month back"

BTW, The tires of the bike looks like will list another 10 k kms.
