contact Joel from the threads mentioned on my post.... he can ship the parts for performance mods and then you can get it assembled either by the svc guys or a good trusted mechanic... and the mods will be way below your mentioned budget. Please do note that it will void the yamaha warranty.. not that it covers muchOriginally posted by ~ AK ~ View Postsorry guyz...i dint know about the policies...

For the harshness, check all the 3 engine mounting bolts. Idle rpm should be 1.3-1.4k.Originally posted by kedar3223 View Posthi guys. going for my 4th service . bike feels a bit harsh and the gear shifts are also kind of hard . also what should the idle rpm be. my bike idles at 1.7k which i feel is to high. also can i go for fully synthetic oil?

Other than HIDs, you may try 60/55W Osram NB halo on your left h/l pod and remove the bulb from the right pod to keep the total power constant.Your biking tells a lot about the person you are!

I am suggesting you to use a single 60/55W bulb for hi/lo beam.Originally posted by kedar3223 View Postthanks for the reply. but did not understand the above point. are you suggesting me to use 60/55 on low beam? sorry for being a noob but can you please explain.

got it! (PHEW IM DUMB). so ill go for a nightbreaker H4 on the left so as to get a brighter 60W beam on low as well as a 55W+35W on high. But is this feasible with the stock battery? Any chance of damage to the left reflector?i mean fadding of plastic etc.

Maybe some custom exhaust.. The daytona exhaust shoots fire when you use the Engine kill switch while revving high.Originally posted by aditaya.chopra View Postguys day before yesterday on a way to my home from market saw a p220 and u dont belive he do some trick with silencer

Your Help Needed
Hi guys
i got my R15 on 20 dec 2010. its been over 2 months and im facing my first prob with my bike.. well i shud be thankful for that.. anyways
prob description.
Engine rev smoothly no sluggish feeling none what so ever. but when im in 5th gear and 6th gear there is this weird kind of sound emerging from somewher close to the engine. cant be precise because the sound is prominent when bike is in motion.. very less and not very prominent when still.
It sounds as if 2 metal plates are rubbing against each other but its dis- continuous..
i couldnt goto the SVC as i was busy and its pretty far from wher i stay. i thought of getting tips from you so posted here..
Thanks.

From what I understand, reading through the forum, a 60w low beam will zapp your reflectors after a short time, with the high beam also upgraded, your battery will not last long, best look for a bi-xenon projector kit, change all other lights to LED's, maybe upgrade the battery to an Amaron 5amp, then you can, in theory run both headlights on low beam, without battery drain, extra power is required for hid start up and a little, though momentary for the solenoid to switch to high beam, this is what I am planning to do for my bike, though it will take some time.Originally posted by kedar3223 View Postgot it! feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.Beware of Bread, don't say I didn't warn you!
More than 98 percent of convicted criminals are bread eaters !
Statistics show that more than 75 % of violent crimes are committed within 24 hours of eating bread !
Bread is known to be extremely addictive. Subjects deprived of bread and given only water, actually begged for bread after just two days !
Bread has been proven to kill. Scientists have now uncovered alarming evidence that 100% of the people who eat bread will eventually die !

yup sounds like a plan . But the thing is there bi-xenons are quite pricey...i mean ive seen some go for as much as 16k. Can someone enlighten me on which brands are the best. How much total wattage can the stock battery handle? If i go for h4 on left them the total consumption will be 10w for pilot lamps+55w+35w at full blast which makes it 100w.Originally posted by stefanm View PostFrom what I understand, reading through the forum, a 60w low beam will zapp your reflectors after a short time, with the high beam also upgraded, your battery will not last long, best look for a bi-xenon projector kit, change all other lights to LED's, maybe upgrade the battery to an Amaron 5amp, then you can, in theory run both headlights on low beam, without battery drain, extra power is required for hid start up and a little, though momentary for the solenoid to switch to high beam, this is what I am planning to do for my bike, though it will take some time.
