The yamaha logo sticker is missing on the petrol tank(on the right side) in one of the pic. Is it coz of my bad vision or is it really not there ?

Frankly this is the 1st time I am visiting this thread. However hope to be a frequent member now.

I am looking out for used R15 possibly 2008-early 2009 model in Bangalore. What would be a good price for it and is there anyone you guys know who wants to sell it.

        Criteria:
        1. Less price
        2. Perfect Engine

Oh ! bro, but i lubed the chain ! i used motul Chain clean and then chain lube.

This is how i did it,

          1. Thorough cleaning of chain with jet of water, with the usual small unpowered Hand gun.

          2. Tried wiping off sticky dust with cloth(which is wrong. i shud have brushed off the dust).

          3. Sprayed chain clean both on outer and inner side of chain and also the sprocket.

          4. after some time i lubed the chain from inner side.

Have i done everything all right? i got these tips from a R1 Mechanic's Video tutorial on youtube.

And the front sprocket! ive totally ignored it! wont happen again!

Im gonna clean n lube my chain now and will post tom with the results

One more issue is that. It looks like petrol is jus evaporating from the tank. because there are frequent sounds coming out from the tank cap. and when i open them petrol vapours just gush out!

The mechanic dismounted the tank and like always i stepped in to peek and see what he's doing. I spot a pipe hanging loose. I ask him what it was ?
He and i were quite in shock as he told me it was the intake wire of the air induction unit. My bike had run 2500 km since its last service and i doubt the wire came off on its own due to the suction pressure.

This air intake system aids combustion and reduces the exhaust fume contaminity by pushing
controlled air into the engine. Till now my bike was sucking in air from here n about ... I really got mad and gave the SVC incharge a piece of my mind!

Also i noticed, the mechanics don't follow the manual's job card strictly. They just do their protocol jobs. My chain was loose and i was getting jerky decelerations on letting go of the accelerator. He didn't check that.

Just an advice, please insist on being present when you get your bike serviced.

I totally agree bro! I couldnt stay during the first service ! and result was an unsatisfactory service! i got it serviced from Bangalore Wheels here in Bangalore! For the 2nd service im staying there for sure!

@everyone - it seems the blue R15 owners are increasing as every second guy is buying the blue R15
5k sometimes one cant resist crossing.. or rather you wouldnt even know that you ve crossed!

yea! Red looks very bright. the Blazing red which was released earlier was amazing! sunset red looks boring. whereas black.. these days Pulsars are of greater density on roads and almost all are black so it doesnt catch any attention!!

Yellow. i dont know what to say. Blue is the best! \m/

                              Hi guys

i got my R15 on 20 dec 2010. its been over 2 months and im facing my first prob with my bike.. well i shud be thankful for that.. anyways

                              prob description.

Engine rev smoothly no sluggish feeling none what so ever. but when im in 5th gear and 6th gear there is this weird kind of sound emerging from somewher close to the engine. cant be precise because the sound is prominent when bike is in motion.. very less and not very prominent when still.

It sounds as if 2 metal plates are rubbing against each other but its dis- continuous..

i couldnt goto the SVC as i was busy and its pretty far from wher i stay. i thought of getting tips from you so posted here..

                              Thanks.
