hmm rs 850..... but as you said, it ll look pretty weird, i saw the bike with the main stand in the svc when i was taking deliveryOriginally posted by Krishi View PostEven i was thinkin of buying a stand.. pref the racing stand. but the yamaha ppl claim that normal center stand is being sold more than racing stand. i havent seen a R15 with center stand though so im not sure how its going to go with the bike.. act its very obvi that i definitely would look stupid.. a racing bike with a stupid center stand!
i need the stand only to lube the chain and clean the tyre. for couple of weeks ive been using the jack of my Alto car.. the idea dint work out well because it looks like the spring of the side stand took the load pretty hard.. its now become a little loose!
....i think i ll stick with the side stand....but in case of punctures and lubing the chain without the main stand is a pain
... ...better get that side stand fixed soon, you dont want to see the bike lying on the SIDE!?

...
No its not about speed, its about turning and shifting those gears!

lubing ...yes! its a major prob without a stand..Originally posted by sundarvignesh View Posthmm rs 850..... but as you said, it ll look pretty weird, i saw the bike with the main stand in the svc when i was taking delivery

Incase of puncture they dont remove the tire do they?? of R15?? its tubeless right. so jus find the spot and fill it with the sealant .. hmmm
and yea! parking the bike is a major prob without center stand. unfoldable rvms make it worse...
small question.. how many of you use a yamaha sealant ?? instead of stuffing that rubber kinda strip with gum?Krishi

Hello all
another query ...
I again tried to check the topspeed, got fined for overspeeding
, i did see the PCR van , i even slowed down but it was too late by then , they clocked me at 96kmph, also , i wasnt expecting them to be monitoring speeds on a national highway , what are the speed limits set for highways , are we supposed to be driving at 50 kmph ? any1 ??
Another thing , without leaning on the tank , what is the topspeed attainable ? and how much difference would a full fuel tank make ?
and is there a place in delhi/chandigarh where i can a helmet custom painted ?sigpic
I am responsible !
I am trying !

hello all...
i have a query....im from hyderabad and the service centre here is offering a FREE REPLACEMENT of the front panels for the R15...my mechanic was insisting me to go for it...he said that all the front fairing which is worth about 7000RS would be changed and replaced for free...i was in a hurry and i din't bother to ask him the reason for this move...
this is in the VENKATESHA YAMAHA SERVICE CENTRE in hyderabad...
my doubt is whether to go for the change...if yes, why is yamaha going for such a costly make over on the bike for free?????? im in a dilemma...my panels look in good condition but my mind says me to go for them...want a reply ASAP...
and also the mechanic has told me to inform me about this to my fellow R15 riders...i ll be happy if anyone will be benifitted from this...go for it if u need it and if ur in hyderabad....waiting for a response....
regards

bro
that happens all the time! their speed guns can catch us from an avg dist of 600m
or maybe more.. here in Bangalore Police Interceptors are found on highway leading to Bangalore International Airport
Throughout India its like
Cycle Lane(not really but it is considered to be) | 40kmph | 60kmph | 80kmph
thats our lane system. throughout India,Krishi

how many kms on ur odo bro. if its withing 3k then you have to use the lube every 500kms, if above 3K then you can stretch it up upto 1k before lubing. This is unless you ride in water logged area or rains. if heavy rains or water logged area you got to lube it every 500kms
Krishna you should go for the change I think your bike is 20P1 or 20P2 model. The fairing which they are changing are of better quality. In case of crash they dont crack up as it used to be. They are also providing an iron mesh in the inner panel below the radiator which stops any plastic or garbage to hit directly get in touch with your engine, which could result in a fire. SO go for the change bro its beneficial, and as it si they not charging for it right. They doing it for there own reputationOriginally posted by saikrishna0506 View Posthello all...

fairing means the side panels with the R15 stickers, the front panels surrounding the head lights and so on which are present at the front...maybe this is it....or this is what i saw in the box he showed me( someone have already changed theirs)...and the mech said they will be replaced by new ones...Originally posted by Krishi View PostChanged to what kind of fairing?? Shivanshu. i have a query! What if the chain is totally covered in dust?? and after washing the bike?? we dont need to lube the chain in these cases??Originally posted by Shivanshu View Posthow many kms on ur odo bro. if its withing 3k then you have to use the lube every 500kms, if above 3K then you can stretch it up upto 1k before lubing. in both the cases the chain starts making sounds so i lube is freq.. maybe even last than a span of 500kms.. my bike is 3 months old.Krishi
