Hey Jairam, good to know that you are enjoying your bike.
Well what you are doing is something wrong.
Nowhere I have listened or none has told me to "grab the tank with thighs in order to reduce efforts on wrist..."

The only way to comfortably ride this machine is to get a good body posture. It means you should not weigh on your wrist while riding it, instead put the weight on your lower back a bit. Keep your elbows slightly bend and let the weight come on your shoulders more than your wrist.

Yes in heavy traffic it becomes uncomfortable riding this machine, but once used to it there will be no problem. Ride Safe

Don't worry. Its normal. Everyone i know complains of wrist pain while riding the R15. Its been 3 months now since i bought my bike and i still get mild pain in both hands.

If you're driving in stop and go traffic, its here to stay...

Krishi, I got the problem fixed in my Bike. As per the mechanic, the problem is with front disc brake. There is a part (some kind of washer or rubber bush) that did not fit in correctly. This has happens when you have this part replaced (new condition) or in a new bike. This part should worn out on its own and then it will align itself correctly. This can also be fixed in the SVC, as in my case.

The yamaha logo sticker is missing on the petrol tank(on the right side) in one of the pic. Is it coz of my bad vision or is it really not there ?
some bugger in my apartment ripped off the stickers from the petrol tank and the tail the very second day...i saw one of the stickers lying beside my bike....i.e., he was not interested in it for its value(some people steal and sell these logos)..he just wanted to be an a***le

and Thanks guys for your wishes...congrats sundarvignesh on your purchase

                • A pothole in the road when you're double the speed limit to compensate being late for an early morning class results in a bent front rim

Called up my service center manager and he says that here isn't any need to replace the rim if air isn't leaking. Does a slightly bent rim cause any problem while leaning/cornering hard?

Some similiar issue i heard from lot of chaps so what i did was remove the sticker use araldite with a bit of 10 sand granules like mud and apply on the sticker and reapply on tank, so next time if someone tries removing it will tear and comeout and you can wipe it and reuse it

@parth - see if you feel vibratons in slow speed.

No issues yet, I didn't feel any vibrations. Although I was really cautious not to lean too much as I wasn't sure about the rim affecting cornering so I don't know about that.

Will know whether air is leaking by evening.

my bike is kinda ruff now .. no smoothness .. i feel like my bike slows down automatically after acceleration .. cooliant light comes on at times and i have this problem since the day i got the bike (cooliant is full) .. and i have completed 4200 km on the bike .. i got the bike in end of october 2010 .. had some engine problem which was resolved .. The firing(or what every its called) of the bike is not normal .. rpm comes down all the time even after increasing and stays on 1100 .. most of all .. my bike is just drinking petrol even when i ride the bike at 60-70 kmph ..

example : 3800 km done and i put petrol for 670 or 700 which is almost 11 liters and now its over in 4150 km ..

is it normal or what ? please help

PS : i dont care about what average its giving by still curious .
It can be because of two things, either the Crank is now gone and the engine is heating up too much. Or due to very tight front / rear disc pads.

The mechanic dismounted the tank and like always i stepped in to peek and see what he's doing. I spot a pipe hanging loose. I ask him what it was ?
He and i were quite in shock as he told me it was the intake wire of the air induction unit. My bike had run 2500 km since its last service and i doubt the wire came off on its own due to the suction pressure.

This air intake system aids combustion and reduces the exhaust fume contaminity by pushing
controlled air into the engine. Till now my bike was sucking in air from here n about ... I really got mad and gave the SVC incharge a piece of my mind!

Also i noticed, the mechanics don't follow the manual's job card strictly. They just do their protocol jobs. My chain was loose and i was getting jerky decelerations on letting go of the accelerator. He didn't check that.

Just an advice, please insist on being present when you get your bike serviced.
No mechanic follows the manual's jobcard, you have to push them to do it as its your bike and they service n number of bikes each day.

Absolutely, the 6th gear is just to cruise on the highway. one of the mechanic said to me that only engage the 6th gear when above the speed of 55. Before that would lead to knocking of piston and Timing chain slack.
