I had a similar problem with my bike. Went to the SVC station and was informed that the sound is from the Front Disc Brake. With some additional lubrication this can be fixed. I am yet to see if its fixed. Will check out today.Originally posted by abhi_underdog View PostIs it making some chu chu sound ?
Even i am facing the same problem , and only while accelerating , niot otherwise, sometime back got my front brake assembly lubricated , that sound didnt go away immediately, so not sure whether it was theproblem , anyways after my second service that sound has come back again

Krishi, Take the bike to SVC. Take the mechanic on a ride with you and show him the problem. Then only he will be able to identify the issue. Else he will be fixing the problem based on his assumption. Take some time out for your bike, my friend. Its after all your baby.Originally posted by Krishi View Posti had posted my issue before and i dint get a clear picture of the prob. please help me out guys!
Hi guys
i got my R15 on 20 dec 2010. its been over 2 months and im facing my first prob with my bike.. well i shud be thankful for that.. anyways
prob description.
Engine rev smoothly no sluggish feeling none what so ever. but when im in 5th gear and 6th gear there is this weird kind of sound emerging from somewher close to the engine. cant be precise because the sound is prominent when bike is in motion.. very less and not very prominent when still.
It sounds as if 2 metal plates are rubbing against each other but its dis- continuous..
i couldnt goto the SVC as i was busy and its pretty far from wher i stay. i thought of getting tips from you so posted here..
Thanks.

No replies, so I will answer myself, bought a new front tyre, had it fitted, put the rear tyre front the front to where it belongs, sold the zapper vyde, what a difference, please remember, i didn't upsize the tyres, it was done by the previous owner, now I am back to stock and loving it! A world of difference, no longer do splendours and dio's overtake me on corners, phenomenal grip (sticky Icky) has given me much more confidence, no longer do I get pulled to the outside on corners, the bike does as it's told, no more fear of the bendsOriginally posted by stefanm View PostHi,
I had posted earlier, regarding the tyres on my bike, just to refresh, I had bought my bike 2 weeks back, that monday was my first time riding a bike properly, I was very nervous and scared riding almost 50km back home, I was also very tired that day, which didn't help, since then I have covered around 400km's, confidence is improving, but I still get overtaken by the odd dio and splendour
The previous owner of the bike had put the rear tyre upfront and put a 120 section zapper vyde on the rear, this has played on my mind, I have ordered an original front tyre and will have it fitted tomorrow and put the rear back to where it belongs, the MRF dealer is not interested in taking the zapper vyde in part exchange, so will sell it off elsewhere.
Now to my point, today I had a 50km ride from North to South Goa on the highway, at speeds of 70kmph and above the slight breeze from the west (my right hand side) was pushing me across to the left and I was battling to keep the bike straight, I was riding more or less in an upright position, now as the breeze was really not much, it got me thinking the issue could be one of 2 things, 1) The tyre set up, with a rear upfront or 2) my riding posture, on the way back I was semi crouched and had zero issues, it could also be the road camber, but I have ruled that out, as mostly I was in the centre of the lane and I only overtake on the right, never on the inside of cars, trucks, buses etc.
Any ideas guys?
Still don't get why the previous owner changed the tyres?
Anyway the damage was Rs 1600 for front tyre, Rs 150 for fitting and Rs 500 refund on the zapper vyde, dealer didn't do the fitting, had to take to a tyre walla, then had to go to another tyre place to sell the tyre, only Rs 1250 down and worth every Paise!
Beware of Bread, don't say I didn't warn you!
More than 98 percent of convicted criminals are bread eaters !
Statistics show that more than 75 % of violent crimes are committed within 24 hours of eating bread !
Bread is known to be extremely addictive. Subjects deprived of bread and given only water, actually begged for bread after just two days !
Bread has been proven to kill. Scientists have now uncovered alarming evidence that 100% of the people who eat bread will eventually die !

Get the chain lubed again at SVC , it will go away , i am pretty sure, earlier i was doing hit and trials myself , but this time i am sure , i did the same the day before it went away. Its the rear wheel actually , as you said before near the engine , i tried everything beforeOriginally posted by Krishi View Posti got the same ans in my previous post. front disc brake issue but what exactly is the issue?? ive check the brake pad clearance its proper. and why does it come only when accelerating!
, i even thought that something might be wrong with the suspension , its thet rear end , the chain
OOPS I forgot to mention , take special care of the front sprocket , thats the one that gets neglected

+1 to that. A loose & unlubed chain really kills the driving pleasure. Sadly its quite ignored by most riders.Originally posted by abhi_underdog View PostGet the chain lubed again at SVC , it will go away , i am pretty sure, earlier i was doing hit and trials myself , but this time i am sure , i did the same the day before it went away. Air Induction
let me tell you guys about a rather surprising observation i made while getting my bike serviced on Sunday.
The mechanic dismounted the tank and like always i stepped in to peek and see what he's doing. I spot a pipe hanging loose. I ask him what it was ?
He and i were quite in shock as he told me it was the intake wire of the air induction unit. My bike had run 2500 km since its last service and i doubt the wire came off on its own due to the suction pressure.
This air intake system aids combustion and reduces the exhaust fume contaminity by pushing
controlled air into the engine. Till now my bike was sucking in air from here n about ... I really got mad and gave the SVC incharge a piece of my mind!
Also i noticed, the mechanics don't follow the manual's job card strictly. They just do their protocol jobs. My chain was loose and i was getting jerky decelerations on letting go of the accelerator. He didn't check that.
Just an advice, please insist on being present when you get your bike serviced.
