Get it done up on the visor, as its a better option (look at my album to get an idea). I'm not sure about the leagality, but it is definitely better than having it on the mudguard.
Getting challaned for it depends on the strictness, alertness & mood of the cops.

Will get it done on the visor.

Funny thing is the traffic cop wrote offence u/s 50(177) of IMVact on the challan. That section actually is about transfer of ownership stupid cop didn't even know what section to book me into

U have to look for the answer in the state transport office site. As I have seen that in UP, you can write the no. on the front mudguard as mentioned in the site...

As far as I know, it's Indian motor vehicle act 1988, not delhi motor vehicle act. So the provisions should be applicable in every state.

        • What to do ?

          Guys,

I am in a dilemma.Need your opinions. What would you do ?

What happens is... every time you are riding on a R15 people tend to compete with their bikes. Most of the times I ignore but sometimes......

          Especially pulsar 220 guys.

I was in city traffic today in a 2way lane with oncoming traffic and I had this pulsar 220 on my tail.I kept him their for some time but then it was getting crazy and risky.Other than that he had greater torque advantage too.I could have blocked him even with a splendor in traffic.I braked to let him go or else he would have been toast to the on coming traffic. I am confused ...as to where this whole thing ends.

Did I do the right thing by backin off or should I have taken him to the edge .He would have been dead for sure.
Yes, I have seen GOD. He wears the no. 46 and rides a Yamaha errr Ducati :)

Let me answer your question with a question. What do you think the mature & sensible thing to do is?

Why would you want to take anyone right to the edge? And especially after knowing the consequences. We ride sensibly here. So again I ask you what is the mature and sensible thing to do?

Ignore them like you do most of the time. The R15 is superior to most other bikes, & you don't need to prove it to them, atleast not on public roads.

The part in bold is unwelcome. Grow up!

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

Yes, the sensible thing is to back off. I need to rein in my ego.Public road is not the place.I will work on my self control because without it one can't be a good rider either.

                      • For all those who thought that power wheelies are a thing that a reserved for the superbike genre, you guys need to update yourself with this. I kinda popped a mini power wheelie while returning from office today and I was not even trying to get on 1 tire.

This is what happened, I stopped at a red light. There was this rickshaw wala who came to a halt right besides me. In the rickshaw there was this totally hot chick who was staring at me, maybe it was because I was wearing a good lid, riding gloves and knee guards or maybe it was because of my raw sex appeal .

Anyways, I was kinda enjoying the attention. By the time there were 10 secs left for green light there were a dozen bikes on my left trying to get in front of me, also the rickshaw wala had gone a couple of meters towards the front. At green light I decided to let everyone pass, so was going really slow. The rickshaw walla came towards his left so I braked a little and gave him room too. I know I know I'm a nice guy .

But as I was overtaking the rickshaw from the right I did it in a fashion that made my eyes pop out a bit. I wringed the throttle to the max, I was I think in 1st gear, and I popped a mini wheelie, The front tire came up in a slow and steady fashion rather than the jerky way that it come up when we do a clutch wheelie. I lost a bit of control as I was not at all expecting to be suddenly on 1 wheel only, but all ended well when the front dropped down a fraction of a sec later.

I was not aware that this puny little 150cc single cylinder 4stroke mill can do such stuff. 1 lakh well spent I say

PS: This stunt was done on a public road with minimal traffic, I was not aware that I'm gonna pop a wheelie. If I knew something like this was gonna happen, I would've gone to a secluded road or an empty parking.

I'm not too good with riding on 1 wheel so I kinda freaked when the front got real light. Didn't have the nerve to look anywhere except the road ahead.
