I experienced it once on the Yamaha YZ125 .... Was looking back at my friend on the P220 who wanted to race... I twisted the short motorcross spec accelero and it did a wheelie and I didn't even know the front wheel was like on top of my head as I was looking back! Wasn't even trying to do anything, just doing that ''lets race'' throttle play and it popped!Originally posted by Parth View PostFor all those who thought that power wheelies are a thing that a reserved for the superbike genre, you guys need to update yourself with this. I kinda popped a mini power wheelie while returning from office today and I was not even trying to get on 1 tire.
This is what happened, I stopped at a red light. There was this rickshaw wala who came to a halt right besides me. In the rickshaw there was this totally hot chick who was staring at me, maybe it was because I was wearing a good lid, riding gloves and knee guards or maybe it was because of my raw sex appeal
.
Anyways, I was kinda enjoying the attention. By the time there were 10 secs left for green light there were a dozen bikes on my left trying to get in front of me, also the rickshaw wala had gone a couple of meters towards the front. At green light I decided to let everyone pass, so was going really slow. The rickshaw walla came towards his left so I braked a little and gave him room too. I know I know I'm a nice guy
.
But as I was overtaking the rickshaw from the right I did it in a fashion that made my eyes pop out a bit. I wringed the throttle to the max, I was I think in 1st gear, and I popped a mini wheelie, The front tire came up in a slow and steady fashion rather than the jerky way that it come up when we do a clutch wheelie. I lost a bit of control as I was not at all expecting to be suddenly on 1 wheel only, but all ended well when the front dropped down a fraction of a sec later.
I was not aware that this puny little 150cc single cylinder 4stroke mill can do such stuff. 1 lakh well spent I say
PS: This stunt was done on a public road with minimal traffic, I was not aware that I'm gonna pop a wheelie. If I knew something like this was gonna happen, I would've gone to a secluded road or an empty parking.
Damn, the race outcome was that I crossed the finished line, got off, went onto his lane and waited for him to arrive...
D'oh!

Thats clutch wheelie bro, power wheelie is when yo don't touch the clutch and still the engine generates enough power to get the bike on 1 wheel.Originally posted by veyron999 View Postyup..happened with me too! just got in a mood to rip the bike a bit, revved it high, left the clutch, got a wheelie, short and smooth..

YZ125.....wow ....... just googled it and wikipedia told me its a two stroke generating 33bhp ...... one heck of a crazy machine it must've beenOriginally posted by ZeNashB View PostI experienced it once on the Yamaha YZ125 .... actually 'twas more like i left the clutch then got a wheelie when i accelerated harder..not too sure whether that was a clutch or power wheelie!
anyway as you said-neither was i expecting to point skywards!

Yeah, the craziest machine I have ever ridden! It weighed enough to lift completely off the ground myself (98kgs) and it made 33bhp. It had chambered exhausts and was ported. The mechanic who gave it to me for a ride was working on fine tuning it. He's gonna sell it soon and I so wanna buy it! Can pop a wheelie in every gear and sustains it very easilyOriginally posted by Parth View PostYZ125.....wow ....... just googled it and wikipedia told me its a two stroke generating 33bhp ...... one heck of a crazy machine it must've been

Guys I am very upset today...Yeah I am getting my bike in 2 days but upset because I am getting this bike due to impatience...
My colour choice was R15 yellow which I am getting after more 20 days from today so total 50 days from the day of booking as i booked the yellow on 30th of oct
My problem is that I am a very Impatient guy. I just cant wait for that long and its my weakness. The showroom people gave me an offer to take either the blue or black R15 after 2 days or wait for yellow for more 20 days
Am I doing the right thing?
Actually my first colour choice was yellow and then was blue so I have to go with blue now as this impatience will just KILL me
I hope I dont regret later about the colour choice

colour ain't gonna change anything!
the engine is going to be the same, and so is everything else!
people still will give you a second look!
so, don't worry..
go with the blue or the black! both look equally stunning!
though black is the toughest to maintain..
most of us here have the blue/black..
i personally went for the black one as IMO it is evergreen!(ironic
)
yellow is just too flashy and grabs too much of attention...
whichever the colour, there are pros there are cons..
but in the end the colour is what matters the least..
at the end of the day you will be satisfied with the feel not the look..
after monday and tuesday, even the calendar says WTF!!
