    • Right now my father's Bajaj Chetak gives me more adrenalin rush than the R15 (coz it is in run-in period ). The 125 cc 2 stroke engine is really great yaar. Just open the throttle and you have a instant 'blast'. I hope the same/more from R15. I also find Chetak more nimble. R15's turning radius just sucks

Please dont insult our beloved R15. The Chetak can in no way be compared to the R15 !!! (sorry no offence meant)

He offered me to ride his babe as he assumed it had some problem with pick up and other issues.

My Verdict: The clutch shift was entirely smoother (reason its new, mine clutch wire needs to be replaced, its jammed and hard to pull). I found his bike had an issue with pick up. It was resisting not to pull. And, crossing 80 was not that easy and the bike was always on a tardy zone.
Compare to mine, which is much smoother on higher RPMs and it reaches 100kmph in no time and with no issue. May be his bike is just 1200kms old so i am doubting the culprit.
One common issue that was seen in both bikes (not sure if you all face the same issue or not). Follow this steps:
Shift to first when you are grounded. Accelerate but quickly change to 2nd while u are running 10kmph. Now try to accelerate, the bike gives a lot of jerks compared to other bikes. Also, while riding on cities when traffic is slow (not halt) I often have to shift to 1st gear coz it really struggles to pull in 2nd gear. In order to pull it in that scenario, I have to take half clutch and accelerate and increase the rpm to 4k band and then leave the clutch.

What sort of problem am facing?? A trusted mechanic told that it's an issue of clutch bell which is common on all R15's... Members plz throw some light...

                    Strange!

I tried searching but could not find it related.. my problem is different... I think all 2010 model of R15 sucks... I am really frustrated with the way my bike is behaving these days... Thinking of going to SVC soon, but they are all crap people...
My patience are being tested.. but will it be over-tested till the CBR 250 gets launched.. only time will tell...

Than you do the trick like i did, i took, all the cash with me to the show room. Told him, if can deliver the bike right now or not. If not, i going to buy P220 right now. I got the delivery in 5 mins. (The bike was on 2nd floor kept on display)

BTW, this happened in march 2009, when waiting period in my city was 60days...

EDIT: don't forget to put the cash on the table... That does the trick all the time.

Trust me, i didn't knew the bike was on display at 2nd floor, even i thought the bike was not there in the showroom, but when i threatened them that i would go with BAJAJ, this guy, just went to the owner of the showroom, in no time, i was handed with all the papers.

Funny thing, i didn't bring the passport size photos, they snap my picture from the one of the employees cell phone, told me that they will get docs signed in the evening, i can take the bike home now...
