My bike's odo reading is 2800 kms. I recently got oil changed. The SVC guys used semi-synthetic oil. Is this okay? I heard mineral oil should be used atleast until 6k kms.

thanks for the pic..but apache's is a bit longer one and p135 is shorter..but still i wil go for one among these two..let my sems finish

The only thing that I've noticed in the bikes with this phenomenon is that all of these bikes have had falls. I'm thinking that when the bike falls to the side, some of the oil comes into the air box.

In my case it is not related to any falls as it haven't fallen after 2500kms. I looked it up in the internet and found that it is related to blow by past piston rings or high crankcase pressure at high revs which cause the oil mist to work its way up through the crankcase breather hose to the airbox. thats all i could find. for now, i'm not worried about that as the amount of oil in the airbox is too little to be concerned about. i'll have to live with that i guess. thanks for the info.

I am not sure if this is normal but my bike pulls normally from 73kmph at 5k rpm in 6th gear to speeds in excess of 120. I think you should get it checked at svc.

Nope my friend it's not Ok. Only settle for front tyre only.

but i dont have any other option

i have a gtg this 26th and i have to ride more that 4k kms

Its alright brother you dont have to worry, the engine would be a bit grunty thats all, there would be no loss in performance

there may be other dealers which has MRF tyre try them, use common sense if the rear tyre could have been used for the front tyre, then why did Yamaha and MRF waste money in having different segment of tyres for front and rear

Fellas,

I just completed my 1500 kms ride to Nainital from Kathmandu,Nepal. The roads were awesome and the max mileage that i got was 52kmpl... too good for R15... also ameliorated my top speed to 131 kmph...
Donig Some modification, changed the mirror to that of Pulsar 220 will be switching the rear tyre to MRF Zapper 120 some odd.. can't remember...

R15 resale price

Hi Guys,

Need some help. I am planning to sell my October 2008 blue R15. Bike is in stock condition.

I am not sure what has to be the best price which will be fine with me as a seller and someone else who is going to buy it. Reason for selling is moving out of India.

hey guys now a days i park the bike loads of times in the sun. Is it harmful to the bike in any manner?
my friend told me that bike will lose its lusture if i keep on doing this. IS IT TRUE?
