thats weirdOriginally posted by AKAlOgAN View Postthnx bro but to be precise i can feel the vibrations even on the brakes both rear and front .. can be really annoying at some times ..
nothing like that experienced in my 23K riding... well here is a list of things which you can get checked at the svc for vibrations which you are feeling:
1. as mentioned in my previous post engine mounts & swing arms.
2. brake pads (if they are worn out) and also check the callipers checked and the disc plate as well for any alignment issues.
3. steering stem ( for any looseness )
go to SVC and tell them your problem and see what they have to say and how they diagnose it and keep us updated.
Good choice and Congrats, do post some pics when you have her.Originally posted by Manju_Mandya View PostHi Riders !! I have booked R15 (Impact Yellow) @ Bangalore Wheelers, Rajajinagar. Waiting for the delivery (On my Birthday

I'm following this thread from the day I decided to buy R15 over P220f and HH ZMR !
Though it is said that till atleast 3rd service that is at 6000kms you should stick to Mineral Oil, but since you have gone to semi-synthetic, I think thats the only reason. But dont worry it should come back to its original formOriginally posted by k.bharath_27 View PostI'm getting a different note from the engine for the past 2-3 days. Ride is not as smooth as before
What could be the reason?
I got the engine oil changed 4 days back (yamalube 15w-50 semi-synthetic). Odo reading is 2800.

What is the best way of braking the R15 when you are comfortably cruising at a speed of 100 and you suddenly see a dog jumping merely 3 feet away ahead of you. I had experienced the same in december 2010 and done panic braking and thus my bike toppled over and i landed with a left wrist fracture.

I do not know about these oil types. Since I had finished 2000 kms since first service I took her to SVC to get oil changed. They used semi-synthetic oil. Will using it affect the engine in any way?Originally posted by Shivanshu View PostThough it is said that till atleast 3rd service that is at 6000kms you should stick to Mineral Oil, but since you have gone to semi-synthetic, I think thats the only reason. Dear Friends,
I've completed 650KMs and so as per the manual, I rev past 5K rpm and less than 7.5K rpm.
However, I've a query, I ride to office daily which is only 7 kms from my flat, and I touch approx 72kmph @6200RPM on 6th gear [on 5th its 69-70 kmph]. But, since a few days the Radiator Fan gets ON always... is it any issue or normal due to temperature rise in Delhi/NCR.
Also, I'm planning to get the first servicing done before 1000kms; i.e. after approx 750-800 kms.. would it be OK?
Please help!

Not entirely accurate... contrary to what may seem common sense and wisdom applying just the front breaks than using both breaks may be a better option under hard breaking conditions... reason being when you apply breaks at very high speeds the weight balance of bike changes suddenly transferring weight on to the front end of the bike, this abrupt change lightens the rear wheel thereby making it very sensitive to wheel locks... its one of the reasons on a race tracks many people don't apply rear breaks at all under hard breaking...Originally posted by wildest.....Heard that, at too much speed by applying just front brakes proves to be fatal. I know, you know this!...Only a biker knows why a dog sticks his head out of a car window.

at 100 kmph you cover 328083.99 feet (B)
1 hour = 3600 seconds (C)
so... (B)/(C) = 91.13 feet per second
at 100 kmph you were moving at 91.13 feet per second
and if the dog was just 3 feet away.
there's no way you could have stopped.
or even slowed down for that matter.

^^^ absolutely... @shrinathrao: sorry to say this but the lesson that you take away from this is that you were riding way beyond your depth and were not in control for any eventuality...Only a biker knows why a dog sticks his head out of a car window.
