I think they are some kind of finishing defect. The exhaust pipe and its material is designed to withstand the high temperatures of the exhaust gases.

            1. Yup its the FI pump.

            2. In 6th gear @5k RPM the bike does 73kmph, but it is advised to drive with varying RPMS so short burst of speed above 5k RPM, lets say 15-20 seconds wouldnt do any harm, however dont red line the bike ever in run-in period or ride at RPMs higher than 5k for longer durations. Take a 10 minute break after every 30 km - 40 Km , or sooner if you feel the bike is overheating.

              Hello Bikers,
So far I have noticed, I have seen the front brake disk plates are of larger in size than rear disk plates. What is the logic behind this? Please, enlighten me with the exact answer.
              Thanks a lot in advance!

All vehicles have this, even when cars have the same size discs or drums at the front and rear, the bias is factory set for more braking from the front than the rear, if you want to learn more, you can google it, as it is not just specific to the ownership of an R15.
Beware of Bread, don't say I didn't warn you!
More than 98 percent of convicted criminals are bread eaters !
Statistics show that more than 75 % of violent crimes are committed within 24 hours of eating bread !
Bread is known to be extremely addictive. Subjects deprived of bread and given only water, actually begged for bread after just two days !
Bread has been proven to kill. Scientists have now uncovered alarming evidence that 100% of the people who eat bread will eventually die !

                  Buddy,
First I tried googling. Not exactly explained result found. Then I asked to svc guys, no answer from them too. Finally, I have no option than xBhp who can only give me the answer. So, I questioned that! If I am wrong, please suggest!

                    1. Front brakes provide more deceleration than rear even if they are the same size.

                    2. Rear brake have more chances of wheel getting locked, and bike may skid/fishtail, hence smaller

P.S. As stefanm mentioned its not specific to R15, most vehicles have the same setup. Improve your googling skills

To answer you question you first need to know the very basics of braking, which is beyond the scope of this thread. You will find your answer here. In short the front brake is to be used more (70-85%) to achieve best braking possible(only in dry conditions and also not while leaning/offroading,etc). Hence most sports bikes have big bada$$ dual disc's upfront.

P.S.: Don't even own an r15 but enjoy to silently stalk this thread for info that may come in handy soon .

@Pranit, salle now i am the only one left in the mumbai clan who tours on a 100cc, btw congrats .
