the lighting spread is similar to stock.

Why don't you get it replaced by the HIDs? It would look damn good and would be wonderful for night riding.
And your paint scheme and the headlight part is looking really really deliciously wicked.It's just wonderful.

been working on a plan to get two 35W HIDs to work on my P18OUGIII battery.

soon... very soon is what i keep tellin' myself.

You can install the R15's battery itself and will the HID's work on AC setup?? If not, then there will be trouble converting AC to DC

the battery's not the problem.

it's the recharge rate which is the issue.
the pulsar coil is no good for my setup.

even considered adding on an alternator.

my projector low beam seems to be not spreading evenly...can anyone give me some input how to adjust it...the high beam is working fine...

should i cover the ballast with plastics to protect it from rain and water?

how much did the entire thing cost?and is there any problem with the battery or anything?

m into touring with pillion.. 400-500KM one way..


just bought a used R15.. 1.5 year old and 6K done.. blue color..

got serviced at factory outlet, wakdewadi, pune..
servicing(350), yamaha lube SS(450), spark plug(80) changed (forgot to take iridium ), rear brake pad replaced(700+100 Rs.), air & oil filter replaced(around 400 Rs), chain clean and lube(230 Rs), coolant top up(200 Rs).
total whooping 2600 Rs.



planning to buy following:
1. Motule chain lube + spray (around 850)
2. Coolant for top up at next service (to keep a tab on how much is being refilled)
3. yamaha tank pad (700) was not avialble


already have a tubeless puncture kit, cramster tank bag, cramster saddle bag.
anything else required??


Help Required:
1. Headlight upgrade for touring in low cost.
Planning to put 55W Philips premium
option1 -->in high beam only (will use only on highway high speed)..
Option2--> in low bean only. (will use in city as well)
Option3--> Also remove pilot bulbs with above options. as not sure where to get LED setup. nd don't want to play with DIY right now..

guys a problem with my r15..its 17400kms old and since last todays the chain was loose,and when i went to the service centre for a service the SVC guy told me that the chain spocket has to be changed..
DO r15's chain sprocket need to be changed at 17k kms ..had anyone else faced this problem..when i enquired with my lcal friends they said me that their chain sprocket lastsed for 25k kms ..plz repy

Yes out here in Delhi, where I get my SVC I saw 3 to 4 R15s getting there chain set changed within 15 - 17K on ODO, when I asked the mechanics and the service supervisor, they told since they dont get chain cleaned and lubed properly hence the chain's life get over by around 15k Kms on ODO. Though I got my chain set changed at 22500kms.

Also if you are riding in lot of rain, dust, touring, or you are into dragging or high speed riding, then also it affects the chain. Hence I think its alright for you to get the chain set changed completely.

Projector's focus is fixed. Only alignment can be adjusted. A pic showing the beam will help troubleshoot it better.

Approx 8k. No issues. But I switch the HIDs off at signals and have LED pilots. Ride at above 3k rpm and you will be fine.

Put in HB only. And make sure to remove pilot bulbs with LEDs, else disconnect them.
