    • ^^ it shouldnt be that hard.. the screw gets tightened into a plastic box ( the airbox ), in fact its very easy to damage the thread on the box and the screw will never tighten properly. It not be over torqued or over tightened.

what I would suggest is...instead of removing one screw completely..twist one screw by a certain amount..and move over to the next. In this way the air box should get loose equally from all corners.
but if you've tried this...you've already got the solution (the SCV)
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

Can any one also tell me if there is a mesh which is made of plastic or some such material present on the inside part of the left hand side faring. It is positively visible from the right hand side of the faring but I cant seem to remember if it should be or not be present on the left hand side.

Any help would be much appreciated.
I had a similar issue, what i did was... went to a local repair shop took a wrench and opened up the plastic cover which has the small sprocket. There I found that there were lots of residue left over. I cleaned them up and the sound has gone. you can go back to my post some pages back, i had complained for similar thing. IT only comes after certain Rpm and definitely from the left side underneath you.. try this once...

nope.. could be the chain.. generally that makes such noises.. you gotta give more info on it.

anyhows i wanted to share with everyone what my friend has done on the meter - the pic is not clear, but it looks awesome in the dark. no blotches nothing.

Seriously didn't liked it.. just my opinion...

              • @satyen poojari-

I was having a temporary registration and it's fine here in AP.
I didn't have a choice as I had given my house address and therefore had to make the trip to get the bike registered.

I think the baby handled just fine as no where did I over rev it or strain the engine. Throttle opening was minimal.I was cruisin around 6,800-,6,900RPM .
And now I have crossed 1000 km on the odo.

                  • @abhimanyu: Sad to hear. Btw, the LED indicators are only available as a set of 4.

@krishkanthr15: You bought the black one? I thought I had told you the red one was available here at Hyderabad. Anyway if you are getting it painted, ask the painter to cover the logo stickers with tape&paint over it-they can do it.

@akshay: I have used the Yamalube dry type spray&was more than happy with it, but am unable to get stock of it anywhere in Hyderabad, so back to Motul for now.

The thought crossed my mind too when I got the bike. With a little bit of drilling, the Stunner/Xcd 125's hugger can be fit.

Nope, that's what surprised me. After reaching home and switching off,
I expected sounds like all of you have mentioned.

                        No sounds at all.

The gear shifting is smoother now for sure.

Thanks! You are correct - the sound begins only when the accelerator is in play and around 4 - 5000 RPM. I shall try your suggestion and post back the results.

                          • if you remove the air box cap the air filter wont stay in a fixed position. so today i ordered for a new air box cap. when i get it i would chop it off and use.will give the feed back once i get it done.

Got any stiffer springs that could be tried?? or before that why dont you try putting a washer inbetween the springs and the bolts, that will increase the stiffness of the springs since they will be compressed more.
No wishy washy washer business. I will check with the Mech and let you know about the springs.

Ok, here comes the real update. I have burnt my Clutch plates. It calls for a change to keep up with other 15s.

With a minor tweak u can use pulsar plates.. It's cheaper than Yammy..
