It's an FUEL INJECTED bike buddy, you just cannot possibly richen the mixture in there...

get the tappets checked.. Generally for me if the exhaust tappets are set too tight then this issue of fluctuating rpm comes, also the rpm drops from the normal 1300-1400 to 1100 or so.

                  • ^^ you have to un-screw the screw to increase idling. My idle screw nearly fell off. so be careful how much you loosen it.

Also if your idle has gone low without any reason, check the air filter and spk plug as well.

Thanks to santosh and you... am confused now to unscrew or tighten... anyways.. will figure that out myself..

what's with the self reduction in RPM.. MY bike just got serviced 2 weeks back.. and am guessing they must have done the changes in order to get the best mileage out of it.. (I never said them to do so) coz if i ever wanted a bike for mileage then trust me.. i would have gone for Discover .. 1lt wala hehe....

                        • ^^ mileage isnt controlled by the idle screw. they wouldve have to adjust the C0 for that.

Keep your bike running and turn the screw, you will know if your idle is increasing or decreasing.

                          • Is it possible to put a more powerful horn ? How does that affect the battery?

                            • Just an Update

I got pissed off with my Clutch and Gear setting because the gears where bouncing back and wasnt falling in to the slot and also we could able to hear to shifting noise nearly for 50 feet from the bike. The service centre guys told me that its very normal and nothing is wrong with the bike. So have given to a local mech to open up and check the clutch and Gear Dogs.

Lets see what happens.......Planning to uprate the Clutch springs. Fed up with the butter smooth clutch response of R15 after using the RTRs for some time.

@ Satyen- I dunno, but my bike's running fine. On the contrary the newer ones are become more trouble prone! No offense, just an honest opinion...
                                Well even mine does
What I meant was the arrangement, the only internal difference that I could spot on the new R15s were the flow of the coolant pipe and the horn clamps neatly tucked...

I cruised most of the time between 90-100 at 7000RPM and sometimes went over 100 .Max Speed I went was 114km/hr on a slight slope.I did go over 8000RPM at times too, but I immediately slowed it down to 7000RPM.

Hope I will get the registration done on Monday and fly back.
Congrats on the new bike, disappointed to read the above words..
                                1) A unregistered bike is not street legal (atleast in maharashtra)
                                2) Below 1000KMs you should stick to the run in procedure.. this will make the bike a lot more fun later on!

Ever wondered if something bad happened then what kind of trouble you would have entered into by riding an unregistered bike?
