You dont know the usefulness of the helmet in the helmet lock. If the bike falls on the left, the helmet will break the bike's fall right?

Uhh, I do use the helmet lock pretty frequently. Have turned the gloss finish on the rear side panel into matt with the strap.

But while riding its always on my head.
      You get the point?? :D

there's one more way of looking into it..the helmet strap can easily be cut with a sharp edged object by Mr Thief and he can enjoy the next couple of days with the whatever he gets out of it..

              • they said the coolant was not leaving the radiator properly.(they are not giving any details)about coolant replacement they said it is not necessary. any way i am planning on replacing the coolant after a while. how many of you guys had replaced the coolant before?i ll have to ride my bike non stop in the heavy tvm traffic soon to make sure that they have completey rectified the problem.if the problem still persists i ll definitely replace the coolant and pressurise them to get it corrected as soon as possible. will keep you guys updated.if the problem ceases to exist i will go to the svc and find out what exactly the problem is. untill then you guys need to wait.first let me see if every thing is ok with my bike.got the valve adjusted also.

I am not sure if many of you have noticed... the older R15s had a weird bend in the coolant pipe... the newer ones come with a slightly better arrangement!

                    • question???

guys..my sweetheart gives out a strange rubbing kind of a sound when its in the 4th gear and I'm trying to speed up..once it crosses 50kmph the sound disappears...first I thought it was coming from the radiator but then I noticed this sound happens only when in 4th gear and touching around 50kmph ...other than that she feels smooth as silk...

gentlemen..kindly put forth your esteemed thoughts...

wanted to know...does it happen only when you twist the throttle..or does it come irrespective of that..?
i assume it could be something rubbing to the chain from the bottom.
(same as I had) the sound was mild enough not be heard at higher rpms and if you speed up..lets say over 50kmph, the rubbing is so fast you dont notice it happening.
Se if you can get the rear wheel in the air (via paddock stand or main stand) and try running the bike in different gears...speed it up slightly and see if you see anything rubbing.
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

I'll have to buy the temporary yamaha stand..would do that asap and get back to you with the findings..but from what I recall it happens when I'm giving the throttle..it kind of grows and suddenly disappears when I upshift..

guys anyone aware where in bangalore can I get this temporary yamaha stand..

Otherwise, I'm just looking for some one to infract.
