I would still suggest Petronas 5000 fully synthetic ...its half the price of Motul and works equally good !!

Everyone seems to be talking about Motul, Volvoline, and such petroleum brands. Whats wrong with Yamalube? My experience with them has been very good till date.Only a biker knows why a dog sticks his head out of a car window.

Accesories
Hii friends, please help me. I think this is the wrong place to ask this but i can't help it. After nearly 3 months of waiting for accessories( had ordered almost all), my local dealer yesterday had informed me that the accessories were available. After going to the showroom, i was shocked. He had only few accessories that too all of them in blue colour(my bike is red
!!). I felt like " For this, u had made me to wait for 3 months??
" So, feeling frustrated, i left the showroom taking only the tank protector and the rear seat cowl(which was in black)
Now i have one query. Can i change the black seat cowl to red colour by any point job or something which makes it look as neat as possible?? Please suggest.2009 YAMAHA YZF-R15
I hate people driving fast, thats why i overtake them !!!

hi guys...
i finished my 500k so got my first servicing done. As written in the manual i took my babe a bit higher..but whenever i cross the 5k rpm mark..i can feel slight vibrations in the handle n the tank...its kind of tikklish in the groin area if i get too close to the tank..

are the vibrations normal

i saw a R1-5 yesterday with a DAGREX exhaust..iv gone through Joel sirs posts and according to him that don't make much difference..but this guy was literally flying around...

...but if ur not looking at him...one could mistake it for an auto....

paint job is possible , but matching the exact color could be tricky ..why don't you use it as it is ??

the semi-synth yamalube is rebadged motul 5100. It lasts well for about 2000 kms, and then it starts going bad.. thats the only gripe against it...Originally posted by abhimanyu31 View PostEveryone seems to be talking about Motul, Volvoline, and such petroleum brands. I have used it, and it barely lasted 1500kms! Upon checking I found I'd lost 300ml! There was only 700ml of oil! Now I check the level everyday.Originally posted by abhimanyu31 View PostEveryone seems to be talking about Motul, Volvoline, and such petroleum brands. Whats wrong with Yamalube? 300 ML Oil lossOriginally posted by svjhonda View PostI have used it, and it barely lasted 1500kms! Upon checking I found I'd lost 300ml! There was only 700ml of oil! Now I check the level everyday.

That is over 30% of the oil. What could be the reason??? Under normal running it cannot and should not loose so much of oil.

^^ i faced it once too.. but after that there has been no oil loss... this happened around the 4.5k mark.
@krishkanth - you can take it to any paint shop, and ask them to match the color first.. they can do a few sample sprays for you. Better to pick up a broken fairing piece from the svc and then experiment on it.. Then they can give you a exact finish.. but matchin can be done, no issues.
