But I feel the bigger question is: How did they get the handle lock to unlock? and is hot wiring the bike so easy? Any solutions other than getting a security system installed?

Micro Technologies (India) Ltd.
Not sure how well this works, but definitely sounds promising. Few other products from that company,

- Car Stolen, Track it through this : MicroVBB

This is actually my first post here and I am really excited about becoming a part of the community.
Born and brought up in Delhi, I have been biking for over 11 years now and have visited quite a few places on different machines that I've rode all through these years. The machines I have owned include a 2001 CBZ (Black), a 2004 Karizma (Black), a Bullet Electra (Red with loads of chrome), and my most recent buy - the 2009 Yamaha R15 (Yamaha Blue). I never realized that my latest purchase would also become my most eventful purchase ever. So here I am, sharing the experience with you all.
I bought my R15 on the Sunday preceding Diwali last year from a company owned and operated Yamaha showroom at Select City Walk, Saket in Delhi. With Diwali approaching, this was the best way my folks could treat me, gifting me something that I loved the most - a good bike, in this case a Yamaha R15. Excited to the core, I rode my machine back home with the people actually turning back heads to watch me ride my gorgeous piece of contraption. I couldn't sleep the entire night out of sheer excitement waiting for the sun to rise and getting ready to take her for a ride. I woke up and took my baby to work to show it to a couple of my friends who were equally eager to catch a glimpse.
Upon further interrogation, the two thieves gave whereabouts of several other vehicles they had stolen. Numerous video clips of them performing stunts on stolen vehicles were also recovered from their cell phones. And yes, they had some of the really expensive cell phones with them. In total, the police recovered 16 stolen motorcycles from them some of which were parked in really desolate places on Gurgaon-Faridabad road. There was an article on page four of The Times of India too about this entire incident. I was happy that I caught thieves and more than that, I was happy that I got my new baby back.
Happy Riding!

Two special head screws are what holding the lock assy. You unscrew them, then your side lock is open. Then you can short the wires.Originally posted by satyenpoojary View Post@Hershc: What a first post man! Welcome onboard...

Isnt that a bid deal ? A blade and a special head screw driver, you dont even need a hammer... Damn, i will not worry if my bike is stolen. If its stolen, i dont want any one to actually find it. Cos i bough the bike for 75 k and the bike is insured for 92 k.....

Drink a lot of water... Maintain sane speeds around 100, take adequate breaks, and remember that touring is not a race, so enjoy the roads and dont take unwarranted risks...Originally posted by dsids View Postawesome you got your sweetheart back buddy

the over heating problem seems to have started all over again. till today the engine was running really smooth after correcting the problem a week before.today evening when i started the bike the engine felt rough. after a couple of kms the petrol tank started feeling hot as before. i am set for a trip tomorrow morning. any way i am going for the trip. lets see what happens.superbikes are the biggest blunders on indian roads.
