  • @ Satyen - You are right. I did have to go through nearly 100 pages just to find out photos of the injector manifold. It was really frustrating. Bascially even i am a paint and polish guy, but the R15 garage thread when started was hard core performance related and i think our discussions in that thread will look like paint and polish to them. So i stuck to this thread

If only we have options of selecting out favourite post in each thread and view them seperately just as in Gmail... It would really help.

@ JD & Satyen - I am not sure what springs has been used. This is the first time in my history of my motorcycling, i have completely left the bike in the hands of a mech without my intervention. Every damn thing he had done made the bike Weird and twitchy in the road, but rectified all the problems i had in the track. I am gonna stick to this guy for all my future bikes

I will check with him and let you know what springs were used, just give me some time.

JD, GP and the nerdy boring characters discussing tweaks.... can you please post your conversation on the R15 Garage thread... thats a lot of handy information being lost out in this paint and polish thread :P
BTW Which spring did you finally use?

      thanks a lot bro!

i dont like the term "we". who are these we?-you ,satyen and jd666?
are you telling that only you three guys know about the r15 hardware and stuff? ok. let it be that way. lets drop this heated discussion .i apologise to any one i might have irritated(which i dont meant to). some ones remark sounded a little arrogant and that started it all. i apologise to all. i hope every one is happy.differences are bound to happen between friends, right?.lets move on and forget what happened.
in last page you will see a comment deleted by me. i posted the comment when satyen was online(unfortunately).within a couple of minutes of posting the comment i deleted it thinking that it may hurt satyen(which i did not wanted). but sadly satyen was not wise enough not to comment on a deleted message. he could have send me a pm and settled the issue instead of posting it for everyone to see. i could have posted this as a pm. but since he didn't want to do that i also don't want it. anyway sorry dudes.

this is ridiculous. i am getting all my paid services done for cheap rates(150rs). i did tappet adjustment twice.both were done after the free service period was over. the first was done absolutely free. the second time they charged 50rs(that too when i asked them if there was any charge). i am lucky to get serviced at HILTON yamaha-trivandrum.

Wow, i've given my bike there for my third service today.

I get by bike serviced there and am quite happy with it. Two services done till date and no complaints. My favourite mechanic (named Karim) has quit recently, another mechanic named elango does a good job too.

P.S - I am really confused about one thing. How could some one quote your post when you had already deleted Again dont pick on me for this. Even if you so, pls dont expect a reply from me.

see, when i was posting my comment satyen was online . i thought for a couple of minutes. when i gave a second thought i concluded that i should not post criticising sort of comments against satyen who had taken time to respond to my pms. so i deleted my comment and logged off. when i logged in again i found that he has responded to my post- meaning he has seen it.unfortunate. i am not blaming satyen alone. to an extent i was also a bit frustrated seeing his comment, which i should not have been. these things happen. sorry satyen,gp and jd if i offended anyone and please don't stop replying to my pms. cheers.chapter closed.dont expect any furthur comments on this issue.

                      • sometime back there was this issue of 1st servicing & stuff about replacing engine oil etc etc...

Here's a scanned copy of my service manual which the SVC had kept safe with him when I forgot to collect from there...

I think you were overcharged... especially routine service here costs about 150Rs AFAIK... and a special rate for tappet adjustment is unheard, but anyways 500Rs is a rip off for it! Try asking them for a rate card... most SVC has them...

                            • what 250 kms...hahaha.....

The reason I posted this is because many people were saying about 1000 kms service coupons & free coupons by dealer & all that ....

But just now I got to see a manual of my friend from office & it is written 1000 kms at the same place where it is written 500 in mine

My guess is that they probably changed the manual somewhat after 1 year or something
