  • Sorry to hear about your toe, dude. GWS.

    • @ketan Sorry to hear about the accident. Get well soon. How is your Bike?

About the Chain lube. You need yo buy both the cans(lube+clean). It is necessary to clean the chain before lubricating it. R15 runs on O-Ring chain so you will have to use a lube which is suitable for O-rings so use the Motul which the SS Guys use.

Not yet. Gotta try if there's something for Vixion FZ150 Super Sport (check attachment) in Indonesia.... those of the R1 & R6 are much wider to fit on an R15 and there's only one place where you can even think of installing them but not very ideally located.

Why do you want to mess up everything? Getting an underseat silencer for R15 is no small job. Also, the bike is very new in the world market so hardly anyone would know what to do for this!

For the same reason mentioned above, the R15 does not have after-market bubble screens. I think going for a sticker is the only option you have... I got the same answer Ketan got when I asked about sun film!

Get well soon Ketan. Don't try to walk forcibly... if the joints don't set in properly, that will be a permanent discomfort. And how did the accident happen?

not many options for the bubble screen tinting other than stickering.

You gotta get both the de-greaser & the lube sprays. The companies.. in order of preferance for me are OKS, Motul & Wurth.

        • @ DriftKingNT & @ HydBiker

          Thanx for ur inputs...

Well my bike's absolutely scratch less as she wasnt involved in the accident..

I was pillion when the accident happened. My toe was hit by an on coming biker's foot rest as he went brushing us and finally falling down. Fortunately We didnt fall down, so no other injuries other than fractured toe. There's never a single person's mistake when an accident occurs. Anyways... the toe got fractured coz the oncoming biker was too fast too furious and hit my leg at around 70-80k/hr..straight..head on to my toe..

Thanx for the input regarding lubes.. I'll buy the both the cans once i get well..

So is it neccessary to buy the both?

and he said u can buy chain lube from outside as well of different brand. Said just ask for spray n not the oil.
So which other one can i go for?

                          Kindly answer guys...

The Motul Chain Lube is NOT to be used for the R15. I was MISINFORMED by the Yamaha guys (M.P. Motors, Pune) to use the Motul Lube for lubricating my chain and I was using the same until recently when the Yamaha Company Showroom guys (Wakdewadi, Pune) told me NOT to use it. They said the lubricant actually sticks to the chain which makes it very difficult to clean. Hence Yamaha is now providing Yamalube for the R15 which is to be applied once the chain has been cleaned. This will also take care of the chain noise problem faced by many R15 owners. The Yamalube Spray-Can should cost you around 1600 Rs.

                          • Saagar, its surprising to hear, because even the yamaha pro service centre guys here in Delhi use the Motul clean+ lube for maintaining chain.

Yamaha recommends the Motul Chain Lube for the Yamaha Gladiator RS,SS models. However, for the R15, Yamaha has recently started using the Yamalube for superior lubrication and to solve the chain-noise problem faced by many R15 owners. Yamalube is also the official lube produced by Yamaha for all its top-end motorcycle models.

As I have been using the Motul Lube for so long myself, I need to get my chain cleaned and properly lubricated. Will give you my personal feedback once I have tried the Yamalube.
