Sorry for OT but:Originally posted by R15Rocks View PostWhich is why I doubt why Indian Bajaj bikers would even consider the Ninja, thinking that a Pulsar 150 has a digital dash&the 220 has 120 section rear tyre (do not discount that for most of them a sportbike is just one with a stylish looking dome, display&fat tyres)
1. Even a Hayabusa has an analogue display.
2. I don't understand the second part. Firstly, R15 has a 100 section and still the tires are great. It has been proved. People still went for it. Secondly, Ninja will have a much bigger profile, stance whatever you might want to call it, with a 130 section rear. It's bigger than a 200/220.
3. Let's not compare Kawasaki with Bajaj. CKD with local parts incorporated most probably means the plastic parts or the clear lens side lights, or maybe yes the digi speedo. But they will not compromise on USP of the 250, its engine, chassis, frame, tires.DoN\'t LivE tO DiE, dIe tO LiVe

Agree with GP&Pranay. I was trying to think from a Bajaj owner's perspectiveOriginally posted by pranay View PostSorry for OT but:

Personally, I like the bike as it is sold in the U.S. too.
Only apprehension being Bajaj messing around too much with it to suit their 'Pulsar' customers preference which, you know is not really driven by knowledge of technology (which is why I still get some Pulsar 150 owners saying R15 has smaller tyres than theirs!
)! The last thing I want is them calling it a Pulsar 250

I just have a tank pad as of now.. planning to get the clutch n brake levers...Originally posted by R15Rocks View PostNope, no more accessories after that day. Ended up breaking my clutch lever after that accident too. Managed to get another one, but no brake lever available yet. No sign of seat cowl/LED position lamps/tank pads. Funny thing is he has one side of each accessory in a different color. He fitted a golden swing arm cover onto my bike on the right side&says he has the left side in titanium. Same for the brake lever. Now I'm seriously considering taking back my cash, coz it looks doubtful whether he'll get it or not, even though I paid for everything in advance. Maybe I can get some from Bangalore/ Pune. What are you planning on getting for your bike? Have you tinted the visor/removed the sari guard/number plate?Yamaha R15 | Merida SUB 20MD

Why the hell from the XCD??? if you really want one, check those from the CBF Stuner or the FZ16...Originally posted by R15Rocks View PostHey dude, tell me what you think of this: Fitting the XCD125 tyre hugger onto the R15...
Sunny, if you are still unsure of the dual filament thing, check any auto bulb catlogue... only H4 would have a dual wattage specified (for two filaments) and that probably is the easiest way to clarify our doubt without getting into the technicalities!Originally posted by digislayer View Post@KP:
Well, why only H4?? Why not the H7?? Cos the dealer here had only H7..so why shouldn't i go for H7 if there's no other option? Does that make any disadvantage for me?
And, can anyone answer my other question too?? About the effects of the DiamondVision range when compared to our current stock halogens?
EDIT:
And H7 too has 2 filaments i guess, or am i wrong? I suppose the H1 has only one filament.. :|
No one really seems to have tried the Phillips Diamond Vision on their bikes here...check other forums too. They are the best from Philips like what teh Nightbreakers are from Osram

BUT, guys, pls, let us keep the Ninja off this thread. Thanks.

but the Ninja console looks very outdated , if not switch the anolog speedo then atleast they can Jazz it up using new colors for needle n backlight [hero honda can tell them a thing or 2 about this]Originally posted by GP_freak View PostCumon, i hate digi consoles. u know what.... Pearl Yamaha coordinates with Venkateshwara Motors almost daily... they take / transfer stock of spares required. Venkateshwara being an older setup, seems to stock more stuff.
Just today at 10:30am guys @ Pearl said Venkateshwara Motors do not have the Seat Cowls (what they had few days back r sold out), no tank pads and no Yamaha Logos... and that they checked about them yesterday evening. I was at Venkateshwara Motors at 12pm and they had all of them!
Well, my point here is, push the Pearl guys to get available accessories from them... if they can get spares, why not accessories???Last edited by HydBiker; 11-28-2008, 11:22 PM.

Thanks HydBiker, I'll check with Venkatesha tomorrow, but then I'll need to talk to the Pearl guys asking them for a refund, since I've already paid them the entire amount for all the accessories.Originally posted by HydBiker View PostGuys, the accessories are limited edition. And Synergizer, I checked the tyre huggers of the Stunner&FZ-Fitting the FZ's tyre hugger seems almost out of the question since its integrated with the chain cover. As for the Stunner, though its the best looking, it seems to have too much of a fitting onto the right side, where the R15 has its cables running.Thats why I thought the XCD's hugger would be the easiest to fit, with least modification. Please check&let me know.Quench my thirst with gasoline!

Hey guys, I was wondering if it was possible to fit crash bobbins on the R15. If yes, where are they available and how much do they cost? I reside in Pune. ThanksWatch my Baby R1 clock 148kmph at http://in.youtube.com/watch?v=cAHbYl...e=channel_page.

Hey guys.. Very bad news for me..

I'll hav to b away from biking for at least 15-30 days now.. Sheer thought of being away from ma beloved R15 knocks me down..

Had an accident.. and got my toe fractured.. and due to some complications of nail growing..had to undergo a small operation..
Cant even stand on my feet properly.. let aside riding ma bike.. Doc has suggested rest for 15 days...
wtf..
Anyways... accidents to hote hi rehte hai..
let's not talk too much bout it..
Though i hav a few questions for u guys.. kindly answer...
one of the questions is already asked above..
1) me n my friend own blue R15s each n wanted to change/modify the front visor with a black tinted one. I hav also seen many a guys hav already done it, so thought it's not that difficult. We initially thought of putting those sun films which r used for car windows to visor and it'll b done. We didnt want to touch any TDH to our bike to open the visor, so we took our bikes to SC and got the visors out.
When we went to the car accessory shop, guys in alomst all the shops said that those films cant b put on these visors as they r made of fiber n those films cant stick to them..
So the question is what is the other way of getting a tinted visor?
And where can it b done in Mumbai?
2) another question is i m lookin for a lubricant for my bike. I asked bout it to the SC guy and he told me to buy motul chain lube spray. I was fine with it but he said u'll hav to buy chain lube as well as the chain clean.
So is it neccessary to buy the both?
and he said u can buy chain lube from outside as well of different brand. Said just ask for spray n not the oil.
So which other one can i go for?
Kindly answer guys...
Cheers...
Safe riding...Ketan Nikharge.
