my question is how long does the tyre last for..im currently in 3000km and after 2 months planning for a really long ride so need to know if the tyre will make it.

Can anyone please tell me the difference between a H4 and a H7 bulb? And, what're the possible negatives and positives if I go for a pair of Philips Diamond Vision 55w type (Guess they're H7.). I'm already aware of the power consumption and battery drainage issue..but what else apart from that? In terms of light projection intensity, spread, and actual color of the light?
And, a shopkeeper here quoted Rs.1500 for the original Diamond vision stated above...how trusty is that?

u cannot fit a h7 on r15
h4 and h7 are pin types that would sit in the reflector.

go only for H4 type... about the price.. may be you should contact the philips distributor! mmm.. well, they are officially not available in India... check the following link for international pricing
Santa, I believe a H7 would fit into a H4's socket... as far as I have seen the only difference is the absence of center connector in H7.
H4 bulbs have two filaments - Low beam and High beam... our regular type... the H7 has only one filament... like on the ford fiesta... that has two separate bulbs for low bean and high beam.Last edited by HydBiker; 11-28-2008, 10:54 AM.

Rim Strips
The rim strips are worth, coz they do not get damaged inspite of rain/extreme heat conditions, unlike the local radium stripes which will peel off. Moreover, you have a couple of extra strips too in case they do peel off! But again, they cost double of what a local one would (Rs.150&300 respectively)Originally posted by archibaby View PostOrion has the cowls .. no tank guards or position lamps .. and rim strips in only one colour .. are the rim strips worth it btw ?

Hey HydBiker, do you work at Genpact? Coz I once met a guy&had a nice conversation at the Pearl workshop when I was getting some accessories fitted.Originally posted by HydBiker View PostVenkateshwara Motors @ Somajiguda had the seat cowls abt 10 days back. When asked for tank pads they told me to call back in a week days!
Orion Motors in Bangalore had a lot of them... you may want to check there!Quench my thirst with gasoline!

Indian Ninja
maybe bajaj can put led lamps in the indian ninja as many parts used r gonna be indian to cut costs maybe even the pulsars speedo[/quote]
I doubt it, coz most of the articles say Bajaj is only going to assemble the parts, being brought down as CKD (Completely Knocked Down) from Thailand, since the FTA (Federal Trade Agreement) has the least rates from Thailand. Which is why I doubt why Indian Bajaj bikers would even consider the Ninja, thinking that a Pulsar 150 has a digital dash&the 220 has 120 section rear tyre (do not discount that for most of them a sportbike is just one with a stylish looking dome, display&fat tyres)

Yes, its me Sarvajit. So howz your bike doing? Mine's done 3K km.till now-no issues. Bike fell once in the building though-stupid paperman happened to 'lift to see' what the racing stand was like!Originally posted by synergizer View PostI guess that guy is me
... Are u Sarabjit..???
Left side LED indicator cover cracked a bit (not fully though
)-taped it up. No scratches on body except for a few small ones on the sticker. The other day I noticed some rubber sticking out near the rim-guess thats just extra rubber, since I didn't face any problems while riding, but still, will take a pic&send you soon. I got the clutch lever lowered after you suggested
. Got some small mods done too-put dull black vinyl stripes on the visor, got the number plate&sari guard removed
(sticker on the fender).

Nope, no more accessories after that day. Ended up breaking my clutch lever after that accident too. Managed to get another one, but no brake lever available yet. No sign of seat cowl/LED position lamps/tank pads. Funny thing is he has one side of each accessory in a different color. He fitted a golden swing arm cover onto my bike on the right side&says he has the left side in titanium. Same for the brake lever. Now I'm seriously considering taking back my cash, coz it looks doubtful whether he'll get it or not, even though I paid for everything in advance. Maybe I can get some from Bangalore/ Pune. What are you planning on getting for your bike? Have you tinted the visor/removed the sari guard/number plate?Originally posted by synergizer View PostHey.. my bike is doing good too.. done around 6.5K kms... sorry to hear about that small accident dude.. btw.. did u get all the accessories.. i guess u ordered for all of them...Quench my thirst with gasoline!

I dont think they're of different pin type..both of them have 3 pins each. Or is the gap between each pin different? I found somewhere online that H4 and H7 just have different lamp dimensions..is that true?
@KP:
Well, why only H4?? Why not the H7?? Cos the dealer here had only H7..so why shouldn't i go for H7 if there's no other option? Does that make any disadvantage for me?
And, can anyone answer my other question too?? About the effects of the DiamondVision range when compared to our current stock halogens?
EDIT:
And H7 too has 2 filaments i guess, or am i wrong? I suppose the H1 has only one filament.. :|Last edited by digislayer; 11-28-2008, 01:50 PM.Sunny.
