im sure quite a few people have done more than 5000km on their bikes..
my question is how long does the tyre last for..im currently in 3000km and after 2 months planning for a really long ride so need to know if the tyre will make it.

it ll last nothing's gonna happen.dont end up doing crazy things like burnout n stuff.

the tyre ll last for about 14-15 with no trouble.

^^^ @Harsha, if you do city riding mostly I guess you can stick to what Santa told. I did mostly highway riding and about 200kms of under inflated riding and past 6000 kms my rear tyre looks half worn out. So I guess it should last abt 12K kms for highway and mine might last till 10K kms.

Someone told me that the rear tyre is available at Patny Motors (Secunderabad) for Rs 1200... gotta check how truw it is... The front tyre is available at Pearl Yamaha (Hyderabad) and costs 1100 or 1200.

Hope your legs aren't hurt... please take care and replace the lever... don't try to straighten it and use.

Why would r 15 be better VFM if Ninja comes for 1.8 laks

Ninja 250 has been quiite succesful in many countries n has many advantages like
power ,bike bike looks ,more stable at higher speeds ,nice 130/140 tyres , around 26 Bhp ,better head light, top speed 165 + ,,,,,,,,,,

But it doesnt have Fi but has nice Dual Keihin carburetors n its power train design has been helped by Kozo Arai whos a Bike racer

You're right, the Ninja is an excellent newbie bike&does have a top whack of around 170, better tyres, but if the Yamaha R-125 can have a digital dash, LED taillamp&FI, why can't the Ninja 250? Moreover, if the U.S. price is 4000$ for the 09'version, I doubt it Bajaj can price it any less than 2.2 lakhs ex-showroom, which would be around 2.5 on road is my speculation(they were planning to price it at 1.8 ex-showroom for the '08 version). Though they increased the price over the '08 version, there are no tech upgrades. So would you pay more for a vehicle which has an extra cylinder, better tyres&more power but no frills is the question to answer! I wanna see the bike in the flesh&then make up my mind!

Hi, could anyone from Bangalore please let me know if all the accessories are available there? Here at Hyd only a few are available, that too without color options eg.Clutch lever titanium&brake lever in gold! Also, swing arm cover one side gold, the other side in titanium! No sign of tank pad/seat cowl/LED position lamps coming though I have paid the entire amount&am waiting for months.

Venkateshwara Motors @ Somajiguda had the seat cowls abt 10 days back. When asked for tank pads they told me to call back in a week days!

Orion Motors in Bangalore had a lot of them... you may want to check there!

Orion has the cowls .. no tank guards or position lamps .. and rim strips in only one colour .. are the rim strips worth it btw ?

Received Damaged Single Sit Cowl

Hi guys,
What is your report about Ambal motors - Chennai? I live in Pune & I was not getting any acc, I ordered a Single sit cowl from ambal motors. When I got it by courier, it had crack on the side of it. It also had some white paint on the inside. I called the ambal Motors guy, who replied that he had sent me a new box-packed singlesit cowl. I am sure that it is a second hand, damaged cowl.
Does anybody have any idea what should I do about it?
