    • @hyd What is the Tilt Sensor?
I had heard about something like that from noobs. They said when you lean the bike on a turn the engine turns off and you will fall down. Well I didn't trust them.

Coolant level was just around the low mark. Got it checked and filled already during last service. I have done less kms than urs. Just around 4K. But I ride for an hour in city man. Its not stop-go. Its stop-crawl. Its as bad as Bangalore during peak hours. Combine that with chennai heat and humidity. So the fan does kick in within 15 mins.

Will check that up.. BTW how about any other horn. Not like air horns or twin setups or something. Just a louder horn like ones on Pulsar(single).

It's not when you lean the bike... it happens when the bike leans / tilts / trips over a certain angle. the best simple explanation I have seen for this so far is on the HH Glamour PGM FI site...
          HERO HONDA - GLAMOUR PGM-FI

Check features 3 & 4.. also, click on "See how it works" link.

            • ^^ glamour FI has the distinction of being India's first fuel injected mass market bike..but true to HHnature they will sell a tech as exotic as Fi with ads both video and print claiming the bikes exemplary mileage..

for those people who genuinely want more light on the lower beam...i use a masking tape one strip each on the topmost part of my headlights and now use the high beam for the city without blinding on-comers...still think yamaha should give a option for both headlights as stock..

@Reuterian - I dont think that light is due to indicator. Once when my bike had a fall in the parking the light was on and engine did not start. After a few minutes it went off automatically and everything was normal.

I really think that YAMAHA should do something about the battery.
i was mentioning the wiring complexity..and the reason light came up was that the indicator was hanging out and somehow the wire got pulled out and was loosely connected resulting in engine malfunction light coming up.

regarding HH Glamour... It does long back.......... as quoted it was the first Indian bike with FI system.

The wiring is not complex at all. Its simple. On Saturday we managed to install the HID on my bike without any hassles and now am testing it to see if it really drains the battery.I had a ride for an hour with the hid on and dint find any issues.Yet to test it for 3-4 hours and need to test the battery with a multimeter after a long ride.

The wiring is as follows :

Battery > Fuse > Relay + right side bulb holder ( used to switch the ligts on and off ) > HID ( No wires are cut on the bike and the bike is stock . Just 2 wires were pulled from the battery )

The lights are awesome and really good.No issues till now. Lets see how it works out...

For siddus karizma we managed to get a external casing ( of a car and this needs a mounting bracket which will be fabricated this week ).

Got fundas from praveen & akhil and so many more.

                  More reviews/comments after testing.

get me a tyre hugger and I'll let you know .. can't say just by visualizing

A tyre hugger may look good but the CD fabrication suffices .. and how much better do you want the bike to look as long it performs well. covering the design flaw was a necessity hence I did it. And getting a colour scheme unique to country was something I required hence I got it done.

I second that .. All the welds are rusting .. and if you check from below the headlight, there is a scre hole on the headlight stay and that would have picked up a lot of rust.

YAMAHA YOU ARE GOING TO GET A LOT OF WARRANTY CLAIMS ON THE PAINT JOB SOON SO GET READY. RUST ON A 2 MONTH OLD BIKE IS UNACCEPTABLE.

This should be reported by the magazines in their ownership reports as it is something quite serious. Yamaha should have imported the steel deltabox frame as well along with the stays to prevent their indian vendors from messing it up.

                              • Is it rust as in proper rust where the metal has thoroughly corroded or it might actually be just surface rust which is pretty okay and be removed quite easily.

Most metal parts are heat treated and hence it is usually takes a pretty long time for stuff to rust inside out!!!
