Great to hear about the Yamalube spray! Man..this's getting more and more exciting, we're finally getting something worth :P A premium bike is this exactly now :P But then, any lube would be sticky na? [/QUOTE]

The Yamalube being used for R15 is the "dry" type.

Since car window films won't stick due to the curvature of surface, the only thing you could do is get a vinyl job done, at a nearby sticker shop. If you stick the vinyls on the rear portion (you need to get the visor removed for that), you'll get a tinted effect. Else, if you don't wanna take that effort, you can just get it done on the surface, wherein you don't even need to remove the visor. It would serve as protection for scratches as well!

Well, my point here is, push the Pearl guys to get available accessories from them... if they can get spares, why not accessories???
Thanks a lot HydBiker-I got the seat cowl&tankpad from Venkatesa, and Pearl has agreed to refund the amount too!
Now, what I'm wondering is: Do you know about Patny Motors&whether they can get me some other accessories like brake lever, wheel flange remover etc.?

On the day of launch the Yamaha guy had a fight with the MRF guy, so the MRF guy slid in platina tyres on the R15... since thats the pic that went in the press release, they decided to stick with it

does "dry" mean something that's powdery? Wow :|

              EDIT:
Check this, i guess this's what you were talking about, but it doesn't seem to be "dry" :|

                  • New Chain Lube for R15 is good news. Freedom from chain noise.

BTW: Which tires are used on R125? If R125 can run on 130 rear then Why not R15.

                    • going by the weight and power output, R15 should be faster than the R125.
                      maybe thats why....
and then there is the all important cost factor....close to 1 Lac for a bike in India is still unbeleivable for people...

                        I think a 130/60 won't affect gearing significantly ... stock being 100/80. Try it ...
?? A 130 won't fit man. check the swing arm.

                          See, R125 has 130/70-17 M/C. So, it won't fit on R15? ok! Maybe a 120 will ... Will it?

I think an aftermarket "120/65" won't affect gearing significantly with stock tyre being 100/80. Try it before you purchase...

Of course, do check if it fits ...

                          • guys check your rear break pads...if your bike is 3months old...then its time to change those break pads....man em from Kolkata and almost all the bikes which are 3 or more months old are coming to the SS for change of the rear brake pads....please check yours.....on one side there is a question mark on the paint job and now the brake pads which should ideally run for two years....man is Yamaha playing with us???????????????

i am really disappointed with the quality of this bike...i have never seen people taking a new bike so many times to the SS....HORRIBLE...

I think we should escalate these matters to the company..is there any way out???

if you ask any 220 owner the answer would be at least 1 yr lasting of the brake pads....and NOT ONLY 2 MONTHS..U SEE...AND WHY SHOULD WE PAY FOR IT???
