Thanks a lot for your feedback but in my opinion a K&N should improve the performance a fair bit especially in the low and mid-range. I base my opinion on my personal experience. I have fitted a K&N replacement filter on my CBZ and it has considerably improved its mid-range and in-gear acceleration. I did lose out on my top whack though because I did not replace the stock fuel jets with bigger ones.Originally posted by DriftKingNT View Post@sagar I dont have a K&N filter but I can say that there wont be much difference in performance. You will also lose your warranty. But I wont stop you from doing so because even I am planning to do that in future.
However, the R15 is fuel injected, has 4 valves and weighs less than the CBZ by 10 odd kgs. So theoretically, K&N + R15 should = Better Performance

Hi guys i need urgent help from u all. I m really confused between FZ and R15... i need reviews from all the owners here and also who have driven both the bikes...i am more of a city rider..but i go for frequent trips to city outskirts where i like 2 drive at speeds above 100kmph...n i really love cornering..does FZ loses its steem too much over 80kmph or its still fun up there. and is R15 really bad on low end and mid end torque and is not worth driving in city, though i don't mind shifting gears. i own a RTR 160 and i do a lot of gear shifting as its not much of a issue for me...also if anyone can compare both the bike's initial pickup(0-60) with RTR. Lot of points i know but only you guys can help..hope to see your replies soon as i need to book my steed before 15th of this month,,,Ride safeMy Blog: www.dermotorrad.blogspot.com

If you love cornering, don't mind shifting gears while commuting in the city and price is not among the main deciding factors, go for the R15 with your eyes closed. When it comes to technology and handling, it is by far the best choice yet when compared to its Indian counterparts. It is NOT your avg. commuter bike. It has been built for the track and hence boasts of SBK style performance characteristics. Yes it does not have strong low and mid-range torque, but when you take her past 7000rpm, very few can play catch up and even if they do..its not too long before the R15 pulls away furtherOriginally posted by discoverboy2612 View PostHi guys i need urgent help from u all. 0-6000kms odo Report
6000kms in about 45 riding days.
Rest of the days its biting the dust at home.
Mileage-40+ on ordinary fuel
Lights-Two 60/55w P43t H4
3 services done
1st at 400 -- Oil Filter changed Rs 430 + Oil 170 rs
2nd at 2100----> Coolant top up Rs 70 + Oil 190 rs
3rd at 5200----> Just Oil Change Rs 180 + Rear disc Cleanup
Done 3 long rides ,No issues with riding posture , no engine heating , No Break downs , no plastic cracking during extensive off roading about 300+kms, No alloy cracking, No rusting .
No spares bought ,No changes needed till date , Just running as fine from day one.
2 punctures ,of which one was a precautionary puncture.
The bike requires right air pressure, else the handling goes for a toss.25/32 is what i am comfortable with . I dont follow what company recommends.
Chain cleaning and lube , once a week ===> Happy Chain ==> No noise.
The stock horn needs a little tune up ,else it starts crying with the lights on the stock bike.
Had got my afr set , after that the bike has lost the stock sound and has become different.
Its a mileage bike now . Total mileage
Does a 140 on speedo still.
the plastic quality used on the bike is better than the R1 , i mean this . But the metal used is crap. Its rusting.
The brakes are the best on the bike.
The tyres are really good in the dry and the wet , but its horrible when ther is a liitle sand or slush around , NO GRIP at all.
The tyres are too soft , and the rubber keeps getting cut with ease with sharp objects on the road.
Tubeless do its job well , I was running on a puncture for one week , with 7 psi pressure and the bike was still managing with a smile.
Thats about my update till date on the bike.

Mate, R15 as put in by others is not a commuter bike. You dont ride it to office or use it with pillion . You can win drags with it [in first 2500km of its life do not do >7k rpm drag]Originally posted by discoverboy2612 View PostHi guys i need urgent help from u all. It's a ride for usage between 9pm to 9am. or to be used for touring on better roads. It is a low maintainence beast which dares to go really fast and make people forget that it is after all a 150cc engine.
Its cornering is best in class or maybe better amongst higher classes as well, braking is superb, fuel efficiancy is good too > 40 kmpl for most people.
Just ride both bikes fz-16 and r-15 for > 10 kms and i am sure you yourself will not buy the fz-16
Oh forgot to add you will never enjoy a pillion on this bike. Its a single rider bike in my opinion"Be who you are, and be that well"

Thanks for the reply i think vibrations is from windshield not sure tho. but i have not removed number plate and csn somebody answer my oil question please.Originally posted by SAGARR_46 View PostIn regards to your vibrations, are u sure if its the fairing which is vibrating or the wind shield cause i am facing the same problem with my wind shield. I spoke to the Yamaha Service Head and he told me that as i have removed my number plate from the wind shield, it no longer has the support panels which come on the number plate which play a vital role in reducing the vibs.

seems that except rusting you don't have any problem...but check your disc pad linings..have they become thin????then its time to change....usually around 5000kms the time comes for the replacementOriginally posted by santoosh View Post0-6000kms odo Report
