Paint job
I'm not at all happy with the quality of paint on the alloy. It is a very cheap job-not even powder coated&chips off very easily. Same applies for the rear grab rail too. Haven't seen any signs of rust under the tank or number plate holders yet.Originally posted by mithun.08 View PostQuench my thirst with gasoline!

I'm with you on the grab rails part. The paint on the edges of my grab rails vanished within a month of usage :|Originally posted by R15Rocks View PostI'm not at all happy with the quality of paint on the alloy. now im getting worried :-\Originally posted by Reuterian View Post@xeno
can't help with the petrol drain issue but one thing i wld like to warn is transporting R15 via railways is not a good option.
My old bike did not reach in shape once. its a huge risk as they generally overload the luggage compartment and you know what the R15 body parts is made of and how fragile it would be.
Catch some private guy although he will charge you double but they generally transport bikes in close cabin made of wood after securing it properly inside.
I hope i have not increased ur tension here

well I plan to take it along with me in Rajdhani exp ... ill inquire whether they have better "treatment"
btw any idea how much a pvt transporter would charge for bike till delhi ?A man's testosterone level is directly proportional to bhp that he's using on his motorcycle.

Dunno about that man.Have 2 Philips 60/55 H4 installed with stock position lights. The horn jst whimpers on high beam and since 2 days now the warning light has been glowing only wen on a high beam.Originally posted by archibaby View PostI have mentioned it before .. @all 1 5 owners: at the bare minimum go for 2X 60/55 + LED pilots. It's just safe enough. Absolutely no battery issues.
PS: Barkha back to her antics.
.. hehe .. just kidding.
.:.
On low beam no issues. Also wen on a long ride as the battery gets charged the warning light doesnt glow but in short runs it definitely does.tried 5-6 times b4 arriving at this conclusion.
M taking the bike fr serviceing today as 5.8 k done and dont know if ss should be told about this.
They probably will advise to use stock bulbs.sigpic

2 imp things .. make sure you are on LED pilots or no pilots + make sure your brake lamp isn't always glowing (due to a connection prob).
In short runs (presumably in the city) why would you need the high beam. Anyway santoosh has both lights glowing on low beam so just check my above point. Otherwise you may have a battery charging issue.

I am actually opting for the option for both lights on low beam but High beam I would need to talk it out with ss ,i suupose.
Does the make of bulb have any bearing such as philips draws more more compared to osram?sigpic

No idea .. check the technical info online .. it's detailed .. but I still feel you have a charging prob .. don't think the SS can help you though.
if it is reallhy killing your FI system, it's better you save that first and remove some bulbs .. are you on LED pilots.
@ all : I think the diff between the yamaha LED pilots and the cheap local ones are that they use wide angle LEDs. Those are costly so the amount may be justified (The kind on mobile phone LED flashes)

not req.. just remove the stock pilots and you won't face any probs .. at 5W X2 they will defi drain your battery in combo with 2X60/55.

@Sk8er: I hope you have followed the run in instructions. If not, you can never expect the smoothness in gear shifts, engine etc. If you have, just reconfirm whether you're changing gears according to the manual-engage clutch quickly&disengage slowly while shifting.Originally posted by sk8er_joe View PostSorry to break the flow...
