@ Sarvajit , Vibhanshu - Guys the sound is from the visor only. Its barely audible (& that too only if there is no other traffic) & if I ride the bike while holding on to it, it disappears. The fan switched on yesterday on my way back from office. Blame Blore's notoriously bad traffic at Madiwala ..... Am planning a 6AM spin on the weekend, so far top speed has been 75 in 6th. Since my riding is mostly on Hosur Road 6th is convienient. Yesterday the guy filling petrol was quite impressed by the bike & was asking me the mileage. I said new bike man (at that time 24 hours old) , said Ill tell him the figure the next time. Everyone at office wanted to know how the bike is to ride & whether it is worth the price. Is it the visor or near the speedo? If it is the speedo section, you need to put in some padding. Vibhanshu's bike has the same sound, and a few other R15s have it too. Archi has put in some foam-you can ask him how to do it.Originally posted by neil.jericho View Post

i believe R15 is even better than karizma, it makes 17ps from 150cc engine and karizma 223cc makes same power!, and typre of karizma is skimpy the stock tyre, yamaha has launched R15 as a killer.Comment

Reactions from office on this one... Man, I could write a book of office jokes myself. Especially, all those enthu guys, who think of her aj just another 150cc bike... One day, A pulsar 150cc guy said that he wanted to race me. The other day, a unicorn guy was telling me, how it's tough riding at above 110kmph...
I've always been modest (), not bragging of top-speed that I did on my bike (Only a few close friends know of it) & overall. So they just keep wondering why the hell I paid that six-figure sum for . & no point explaining them either, as I won't let them drive mine.

Its really difficult to crouch on this bike (Im 6') but somehow I am trying to get used to it. Initially I thought R15 is small but later when I read the Ninja 250 forums, I could see that all the tall guys (above 5'11" or 6') were complaining the same. Probably this is the max size the designers can produce under 250CC category.Fear is the Trigger!Comment

btw the stand looks cool ,i had spent on buying service centre stand too
1 thing is sure ..kit won't be that cheap as it involves quite a few mods.will find out more to let you know.
@adway:dude meet up new bombay r15 owners whenever you are in viscinity.3 of us stay in panvel itself.sigpic

A guy from Pearl told me it will be 225, but its not practical at all for Yamaha. Anyhow, it has a lot of time to really hit the market (if).
