I have called up all dealers(except SRI motors) and asked them about the center stand , most of them do not have any idea about. AMBAL motors replied that they are currently out of stock.

Got the price mate. I wanted to know if anyone has bought at Chennai to know dealers stocking it and also as local taxes are different.

Good to hear that you're not much hurt. In India we should always expect the unexpected while driving!
P.S. Today seems to be a bad day for R15s. I was nudged a bit on a signal by a car behind me, but the impact was too less for any damage. Wiped off the tyre marks on the silencer after telling the car driver not to drive if he cannot handle heavy traffic!
I made 2 mistakes. I did'nt honk, and i wasn't covering the rear brake, which most certainly would have avoided this incident. Thats why I got so mad at myself. Anyways, you learn from your mistakes they say....

Sad to hear that you crashed. I had a crash myself and had same damages. Anyhow, do not worry about the fairings, those are just a matter of cash money. Handle bars are actually tough. But in case it has any bent then I think it can be adjusted, assuming that the bent is only at the joints and not the bar itself. And do not feel guilty
Thanks bro. Feeling less guilty now, but it felt like I let the bike down. I wasn't worried at all about the fairings. The only thing that concerned me was the handlebar bend. And it was the plate that was bent. The mech at the SVC said it cant be fixed ! I insisted that he take a ride and gauge whats bent, he went in some by-lane, and did something (my guess is straightened it by sheer brute force) and came back. It feels slightly tilted to the left side now! . Will take it to the Factory Shop once for proper analysis. And entire mirror assembly costs 250 bucks! And just yesterday I had read 150 here on xbhp! Fought with the SVC guy for a long time to no avail! Damn! My bad luck is too bad.....

And if any YAMAHA official is looking into this, please check into the pricing of spares. 250 for a mirror is still digestable, but for a simple lump of metal that screws under a footpeg, 270 rupees is too much to ask, when you factor the cost of the entire footpeg, bigger and heavier, but still cheaper. And if possible mirrors should be 150 bucks again..... After all I'm still a student. Have do do repairs all by myself....

            • I changed my R15 RVM few days back at 147/-
And I suggested those guys to always have a stock of body parts like fairings, RVMS and indicators and other parts that are prone to take on a crash first...

Whats worse is: You won't get a new slider with the footpeg-you need to buy it separately!
Hehehe........go to a TVS svc and ask for the foot peg assy for RTR! Damn thing cost close to 500rs.......worst part is foot peg spring and pin is'nt available as a spare even if u buy the entire set i had to wait for a good 8 months before i got the pin and the spring!

i found ur bike run smoother with speed 97.....but there was a drastic drop in pick up and top end........i found ur bike run best with normal petrol,

I use xtra premium and I am happy with it. Never let me down on top speed or pickup. Sarvajit managed 128kmph on my bike when it was just 40 days old and I gave a competition to Sarvajit on a short drag who got his 4th service the same day

You forgot to mention-in the city!Anyways, I felt a bit scared&had to slow down because of the burning smell which I didn't tell you about. Don't worry, burning smell is also common-I've smelt it many a time in my cars too, while taking them up slopes in 1st gear!

Its common when you rip too much- any car/bike engine starts to 'burn'. Its fine once you slow down though!
