No thats not in the case of R15, they have only mentioned what the tyre pressure should be when cold... and the maximum load, thats it.Originally posted by Mindgrinder View PostLast edited by anthonydcruz; 03-21-2009, 05:25 PM.

Its called a Kidney belt :Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostWear a back guard... ( i was recommended one in xBHP) I have no idea what its called. It should be available in most medical shops.
With the R15, a wrong stance would mean a lot of pressure in Wrists, Lower back etc.... ride for a while with wearing the belt, it will keep your back straight and slowly you will get used to this renewed stance~!
Cheers!
Also called a weightlifter's belt (I guess
)..
Mr Rossiter wears one for touring. A supersport's riding stance can really screw up one's back over long distances and hence i guess this belt will certainly do its bit to prevent one from resembling : "The hunchback of Notre Dame"

Not that one.... I was talking about the medical one... I guess its called Lumbar belt or something!
PS: Helps you to look thinner and meaner in your gear and hide that beer belly
Edit:
I got 12V 35W/35W blue lights on the R15 for 120 each or something... they were kinda cheap and looked okayish... Will post a review after the night ride

Guys, today I was bent on finding the cause for vibes on my r15 passing through the frame at any cost and eliminate them. I tightened the bolt that connects engine unit to Deltabox frame in the process(there're two locations, but I couldn't access the other location due to lack of tools). The bolt located under the tank(that's the only one I could gain acess to) was so loose that I could turn the spanner with just one finger! So tightened it immediately. And Voila! I experienced an immediate reduction in the vibes that come while idling and engine running! I'm guessing I'll get an almost "like how it was when brand new) vibe free experience if I tighten the other location too, will do that soon!

Well, my bad..couldn't express it right in the excitement
Not just by a totally bare hand..but it was loose enough for my finger alone to be able to turn the spanner alone
And this's the result of hardcore usage at high RPMs, it's been through such abuse for 6k KMs now, so the looseness. :P

I got the puncture repair kit today for Rs.300. Consists of two tools&5-6 strip patches. And no, it doesn't fit under the seat. I didn't want to open the packet, coz I need the instructions on the backside. Will have to carry it in my bag while touring. City is fine I guess-the tyre can hold till I get home atleast!

fit new horns
I could not bear to live with the meager stock horns anymore,..it is so feeble that even if coupled with a loud speaker one would not hear them,..so i fabricated my own U-clamps and bolted my Bosch dual base horns to the frontal auxiliary bolts of the engine,...Attached please see the pictures,..apart from the horns, the whole exercise costed me about 100 rs.There is a thin line between adventure and madness,...God must have made me myopic for a reason!!!

@Sarvajit... No! These are not the ones I said... I said about the lumbar belts which are available on almost ALL MEDICAL shops... what you have linked is a kidney belt/spine guard
Clicky
Oh btw I am shit dissapointed with the blue lights, I mean they look super kewl... infact it was causing a lot second looks to the bike...but they are just probably 5% BETTER than the stock ones... Brilliant ones for poser value, but I really have no use for it!
I had a tough a time finding Philips Night Vision 35/35. The ones I got were 55/60 (i guess), Can I still use two of these?
Will not they be a overkill for the punny R15 battery...
Guys sorry for putting this question again on the thread (for the zillionth time) I need a setup for lamp which
1) is NOT too pricey... (No HID Kits please)
2) Will not drain the battery like crazy, should work for 1-1.5 hours night ride
Please tell me about a setup.... (i.e Bulb + Bulb (and pilots if need be))
Trust me I ride a lot, and I ride closer to the ton mark even in nights, so I need my illumnation!

My worthless 2pence over the point. I've realized that we (can) put pressure on 3 points when riding R-15... Hands, Knees & feet. But once you get the 3 in balance, there is no pain.Originally posted by iNSANE_YZFR15 View PostWell Guys,
Im 5.11 and i ve had the R15 like close to 8 months... Im facing a strange issue its a BACK PAIN!!! yes i usually ride to office thts like 18kms one side tht makes it a total of 36 kms not much traffic as i take the Ring Road but its getting quite bad as i end up with a lower back pain almost every other day... I dunno whether the riding stance in wrng but i ve tried diff stances and still its not good... Due to this reason im almost contemplating on switching for a FZ with a straight sitting posture this means loosing out on my fav bike
any suggestions...And God said, "Let there be light" and there was HID Kit. And God saw that the light was good;

Just talked to my uncle who's a Physiotherapist.it's called a LumboSacral support belt. It's generally advised to people who're suffering from Disc Herniation of the spinal cord. It restricts Spinal Cord movement and thus prolonged/extended/continuous usage of this belt causes stiffness of the back as a side-effect. He advised me not to use it for more than 3 months at the MAX. Not even a single day more than it. He said it's better I use it for no more than one month. He also suggested that I better wear it only while riding and don't use it remaining time.Originally posted by satyenpoojary View Post@Sarvajit... No! These are not the ones I said... And he's also not totally liking the idea of using this belt for this purpose for some reason. Hope all this info helps

Yep thats the correct name... I was not asking for it to be used as a kidney belt or a spine guard, but as a short term tool for correcting your stance on the R15Originally posted by digislayer View PostJust talked to my uncle who's a Physiotherapist.it's called a LumboSacral support belt.
