hey navnish any cop trouble as of now ? and how much did it cost you in total ? (shipping etc etc)

and don't sell off your bulbs yet bhaisaab you'll need to revert back to stock when you give the bike for a service

the connection seems simple. did you DIY ?

        @R15 owners

guys the R15 is coming in Jan im facing some probs with the del date (two timing SOB dealer)

well when i do get it i've planned :

seeing all the rusty issues cropping up i've decided to get the bike repainted or lacquered before it starts showing signs of rust. where can one get the lacquering thing done in bangalore.

how good is the paint on the alloy wheels ? the finish looks poor but is it chipping off ? good thing that the bike has tubeless tyres otherwise everytime a puncture happens then the wheels would receive scratches...

how to drain petrol from the tank ?

as far as i've seen the R15 doesnt have a fuel tap. so in case i have to drain the petrol while shipping via railways (which requires that there should be no petrol present in the tank) how is one supposed to remove the fuel in the tank ?

No need of going for paint man, waste of money if you ask me, the rust is in places such as under the seat and in front fairing, which is not noticeable.

i found the paint quality of alloy good.

Remove the tank and look beneath you can find some thing

just removing the fuel hose wont help i guess .. to remove the dead stock there should be a bolt or something .. or worst to worst case sudeep you will have to use a pipe to remove the dead stock.

                • there are 3 "things" under the tank. One is a fuel connector which is electronically controlled so no way of removing petrol. The second is the tank electical connector (I guess for powering the electronics) and third is a water outlet pipe (for condensation under the tank cap).

Didn't see anyway of draining it. Cut the pipe and run the engine.

there should have been a method to drain the petrol. grrr
I think a mechanic at the service station would know after all they have to siphon out petrol from the tank

i think ill go in circles around the station
(and when i get friggin bored doing it ill let it idle) till the bike runs out of fuel. but i think that would be bad for a F.I bike ...

gadhar moton kaaj korish na .. just remove the tank outside the station and drain it. It's very easy to remove. Disconnect the battery so you don't try starting it by mistake. Then just push it to the station. In bangalore, reverse the steps.

Nope man .. like I said before that small outlet connects to a pipe to remove condensation. Also to remove any water that get's trapped under the tank lid, just beside the actual tank wall.

                            • @xeno

can't help with the petrol drain issue but one thing i wld like to warn is transporting R15 via railways is not a good option.

My old bike did not reach in shape once. its a huge risk as they generally overload the luggage compartment and you know what the R15 body parts is made of and how fragile it would be.

Catch some private guy although he will charge you double but they generally transport bikes in close cabin made of wood after securing it properly inside.

I hope i have not increased ur tension here
