when downshifting is done, the rpm increases..but when we downshift the engine speed and the rear wheel speed might not be the same ....and if the wheel speed is more than that of the engine it might lead into some forward jerks..and at very high speeds it may even lead to tragedies..Thus we blip the throttle to match the required rpm on the tachometer, i.e the engine speed with the rear wheel speed...and hence making the downshifting smooth enough...
Experts can explain it in a much better manner....
Please forgive me if I'm wrong or have explained in a lame manner...

@Abhimanyu
Thanx a lot for your explanation bro...

prefer to watch your bike getting serviced.. you may have to waste a full day for that but i recommend u stay there... on the payment part, it doesn't really matter whether you pay by cash or cheque AFAIK.
and pick up is also quite sluggish compared to 2008 models.. dont know about other 2010 model owners.. many of them are happy... i've ridden my friend's 2008 model which i feel is better than my bike.. dont know the reason.. my bike does not match its pick up and topspeed.. i've done 149kmph easily on my friend's r15... and yes, many times..
(again speedo indicated)...

i used motul 300V FS
