i can understand neo's disappointment.i also went through similar emotions when i was unable find a solution to my bikes overheating problem. eventually the culprit was found to be motul 15/50 synthetic oil. neo's bike is possibly nailed by the showroom guys. they might have taken it to the max. speed it could do just for some fun. bad luck man. like i always say- i am lucky to have bought the 15 almost 2 years back. the engine is damn good and butter smooth like a unicorn.once the indian's touched the engine every thing started going wrong.superbikes are the biggest blunders on indian roads.

Thanks Guys..
@ Sarvajit - Thanks man, will catch u over the weekend.
@ RhythmRana99 - Am goin to the service center right now!
@ krUnIzZlE & jd66 - Jus finished my 1st service, bike was quite smooth and i was enjoyin it. All of a sudden it got rough, with vibrations, lack of power and gearshifts get stuck and miss and stuff. My colleague got his bike yesterday and it was so smooth on Day 1 that i got psyched. My bike was quite rough when new and still is!
@ akhilmuraleedhar - I appreciate the empathy!
@ Nagoo - Thanks buddy, my number is in the 'angry post'. kindly message me on that number or PM me wit urs so i can contact u.
@ smokey - I agree with everythin u said. Was just off my rockers with rage at seein my bike in this condition. Still feel very hurt wheneva i think of my bike.A good rider has balance, judgment, and good timing. So does a good lover!

What the F*** have i paid a lil over a lakh for?? If i wanted a bike with vibration, rattling and ok performance i would've gone for a screwed-up, raped 15 year old bike rather than this heap of crap.. After taking care of my bike so well, it's just been a heartbreak riding it recently!!

I dunno if its the bike or the service center, but after the 1st service the day before, the bike felt quite good. Then it all suddenly went down the drain!!!
Gears lock up, bike vibrates like f*****g god-knows-what, windscreen buzzing, no power!! Name a problem and the bike has it! Shuld've listened to my buddies and picked up a Pulsar 220 or Karizma ZMR, rather than go blindly for this bike just by the technology claimed and 1 test ride!!
People are discussing whether the engine is being made in India or being imported. By the way my bike's been behaving since day 1 i'll bet my life on it being manufactured in india. I've worked at Volkswagen India and i kno how these guys can screw up even a class German machine such as the Polo. Forget Indian manufactured vehicles, cars like the Jetta and Passat which come as CKD's cant be properly assembled by these idiots!! When i first got my bike, i thought it was rough because it was new and needed to run-in. After the 1st service its jus gone bloody ten times worse!! And to top it all, i always wondered where the dealer (Perfect Riders) got the vehicle from in the first place! It wasnt one of the bikes in their stockyard. Coz they had jus 2 reds and one was delivered a day before i got mine. The day i took delivery, the other one was still in the stockyard at the service station, and they wheeled mine in from somewhere behind the showroom!
No doubt its a great bike, this R15, but ONLY IF ITS BUILT PROPERLY IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! I'm sure my bike WASN'T! I envy the guys out there who got their bikes in the first lot and pity the guys who are waitin to get theirs.. Oh man, are they in for a shitload of heartbreak and disappointment!! TWO damn years i yearned and dreamed of the day i'd own one o these, and this is my experience. Utterly devastated by all this..!!!
Jus came back from work, no mood to eat or sleep! A colleague jus got his bike yesterday and i flipped when i felt how smooth it was on Day 1 itself, a far cry from mine!! Gonna take the bike to the showroom and ride it into the sales guy who sold it to me. I dunno if i'll be happy if they fix the bike, coz all my love, affection and passion for it has gone down the drain! I'm sure i'll calm down eventually, and i know what my plan of action is gonna be. First, i wanna meet up with any R15'ers from Bangalore to ask them to ride mine and compare with theirs. Once its confirmed that my bike is F****d up i'm gonna sell it immediately. Heres my number guys : Akshay - 8147513464 Please call or msg me wheneva possible, would like to meet up at the earliest to show u the bike. I'm drafting a stinker to Yamaha India right now, and will send it as soon as i find the customer care e-mail address on this ownership thread. I know i'm gonna sell this bike coz the service center wont be able to fix it up to my satisfaction and Yamaha sure as hell wont give me a replacement!
Hope u guys never go thru such a disappointing experience EVER. We all share a common passion for biking, and mine was just shattered into oblivion by this experience. Cheers to all the guys enjoying their bikes! I cant tell you how much i've enjoyed reading and learning so much about biking on this thread. Take care and always ride safe.

@neoakshay : calm down bro , look at the situation rationally and logically ... i know it hurts wen u shelled out a lakh+ for it , still ... there's nothin that u cannot fix on a bike ... i personally do have both rides R15 and FZ16 and till date have got no problems with either ... why don't you just change your SVC and try like suggested , i get mine serviced at pacer motors ... decent group of guys who do a good job ... you can speak to the head mech , name is kiran , he'll take ur complaints and will personally have a look at the bike , he can get the job done .... don't lose heart n try to sell it or somethin ... check all other options , and then if u still want to , then go ahead ...

usual stuffs-Originally posted by Sin^ View Postcan some one replay plzz i am in a real hurry..in 1 hour i am getting the bike delivered so plzz some 1 tell me
-no scratches
-check battery
-lamps/indicators
-tool kit
-inspect the bike in sun
-make sure it doesn't have more than 10--15kms logged in
-take a long test ride prior to putting down the cash so that you can be aware of any stupid noises etc(if you have ridden an R15 earlier, it would be real good or take some one who rides one)

Check following things:
1) For bike
- Check for any visible scratches on the bike.
- Check the oil levels (brake & engine)
- Check the RVMs are properly fitted, R15 RVMs stick out a lot so they take most of the hits from passer bys. Check them properly
- Take the bike for a short spin and see if you can feel any vibrations
- There is a section in the user's manual which tells you of the things to check before taking the delivery
2) Documents
- Check for the owner's manual
- The Delear's Invoice
- Insurance Copy
- Tax Reciept
- Registration reciept
- Passing reciept ( import reciept to get it inside the city)
- Get the Owner's manual signed and stamped from the Dealer.
So there you go. Congrats in getting a wonderfull machine for youself.
P.S. If i have missed anything, please add onto this list guys.
