Donot overspeed your bike during run-in, 126KMPH during run-in is too much. Avoid that in future. BTW, to reach speeds of 145kmph on a R15 some people say that you need to shift the gears at red-lines.

          • finally I'm up to pace with this thread.......

@ Shreyas : that tank pad looks cool. May I ask how much?

@ all : I always wanted to know what use is a tank-pad of, apart from the looks that is. I read somewhere back on this thread that a tank-pad helps provide cushioning/support to the abdomen in case the rider is tucked in and so helps in getting higher top-end results. But I wish to ask......is there any more reason/s to get a tank-pad?
A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.

the moment you saw 1000kms, you were out of running in period, pull your bike without worries now, be a red line worshipper.

(RIde safe, use all the proper gears)

                • Can someone verify the top speed (@10.5k rpm) in each gear???
I have a feeling that my bike is reaching less speed in each gear....My bike does:-
                  1st gear: 42 kmph
                  2nd gear: 68 kmph
                  3rd gear: 89 kmph
                  4th gear: 107 kmph
                  5th gear: 129 kmph
                  6th gear: 144kmph @ 10.1~10.2 kmph

also whats the price of the fuel tank lid(don't know what it's called???) the spring is broken and it keeps pointing heavenwards!!!

I have used this once for about 1500kms.including 3 washes&rains! This is an amazing product, but sadly I'm not getting it anywhere.

That looks like a pretty neat job from the pics atleast! Please let us know the procedure followed.
Did you ask him to spray lacquer after the final coat? Was primer applied so that the paint sticks to the plastic?
Oops! I see you have a grey tankpad as well. Man, why didn't you tell me earlier-you get red tankpads too!
Now don't think about getting that painted as well-let it be as it is, its looking good enough.

TankPad is to protect your tank from scratches from jacket zipper, belt etc.

                              1) its more or less similar with everyones top speed, how much do you weight?
                              2) The spring tensioner can be replaced as well, why buy the entire lid for that!
