Technically, yes. The old oil will not come out fully unless you let the engine turn for a while, in other words heat it up. The service center usually doesnot bother with this as most of the old oil does come out with a cold engine too and they don't have to worry about the hot oil burning their hands.Originally posted by Bean View PostGuys Before changing engine oil do we need to heat the engine?
If you're doing the oil change at home yourself, I'd recommend you doing it on a cold engine so that you may not burn yourself accidentally with the hot oil from the warm engine. You can try draining oil after warming up the bike the next time when you're more at ease with the process of engine oil change.
On the other hand, I'm gonna do some mods to my bike after exams are over.
1. Try and fit a tire hugger from stunner
2. Remove the rear fender
3. Make integrated turn signals on the rear since there won't be a fender left to mount indicators. I'm currently looking on what I can use as indicators. I'm thinking of cutting 2 small holes on the underside of the tail plastic and mounting the indicators there. The question remains on what to use as indicators, any ideas?
4. Get a tank cam mount made. I have a fairly good idea in mind.

After much thought, have decided to return the bike to stock condition (putting the fairing back). Thanks for the input!Originally posted by akshay View PostI can imagine your distress after losing the fairing & other plastic parts repeatedly, but let me caution you that a fairing also serves the purpose of protecting your legs and the engine. As someone earlier mentioned that the fairing is designed to enhance aerodynamics.
Should you decide to remove it you will lose out on all the above and God forbid you crash the damage to you and the bike could be multi-fold. Therefore I urge you not to remove the fairing.
Ride Safe!

You guys remember the Technical manual someone had linked in this thread a long time a go? (its a real pain to search for it, i have been at it for the past 30 mins)
If anyone has the pdf file handy, mind sharing it again?
It should have been made sticky or something.

Hi guys!
Had a bad crash tonight. Was leaving from office (Gurgaon). I must have driven for just 5 minutes when a high beam junkie blinded me and simultaneously an overly eager cyclist carrying his cycle in his hand made a run to cross the road. I still can't figure how he spawned there ...
BAM !
Left side fairing cracked. Both Indicators dismounted. Left headlight unit depressed by 1-2 inches, rear of the bike making a terrible cry and the engine note has changed for the worse.
As for me, right elbow in a mess, helmet saved my head, no fractures ... The cyclist left after mumbling some curses ...
I think i will give up on Indian traffic soon and use the Metro. The shit part is that by Gods grace i do not have any major highway accidents at 100kph etc, but its these mind**** incidents, where the traffic pawns you and your bike ...
Guys, drive safe. You might be a good driver, but the shitheads will always outnumber you. Wear your helmet and do something about blinding high beamers. Just might save your life ...

Some people are saying that, it maybe 250cc. Then we won't get it in Bangladesh. I hope it should be 150cc.Originally posted by masterman View PostFor all people waiting for new R15 these pics will surely make your wait a worth more waiting.. lol
